It sounds like you probably started your cash flow this month (Edit > Change Cash Flow Start Date). Any transactions before your cash flow start date will be ignored (as they should). This date should represent the sum of all your account balances on that day (i.e. how much spending money you had available in all accounts that day). This is why transactions before this date are essentially ignored (MoneyWell assumes you put the right amount in for your starting cash flow).
