it wouldnt let me choose the account for transfer in the split area
which is what i would expect (this split goes "here")
- i tried what you are suggesting - but since the splits Still don't
stay together it was hard to tell if i got the right child since after
i changed the child to a transfer - it still shows an 'unassigned'
split in the parent... (but it doesn't show in the unassigned area...
hmm)(MW had 3 undetected dups for this transaction that i had to
merge)... then i had to go and merge the mw transfer w the dep item in
the loan account...

thanks :)

PS
the only reason i am splitting out the interest is that the 'whole'
payment cannot be 'transferred' to the loan account (as they don't do
it the right way and show a payment deposit then an interest charge -
they show it as a partial deposit (payment amt minus interest =
deposit to principal)... and meanwhile the 'full amount' comes out of
the sending account. this is langley FCU - and their antiquated and
backwards on just about everything i have encountered so far.. more
incentive to pay early :)
