I agree! I only leave about one or two hundred in checking, and the rest is in savings. Yes, this is another strength of MoneyWell, and one that drew me to it. Not many other programs allow you to build up funds for certain expenses over several months. My "Taxes" bucket accumulates all year. The surplus we were describing (at least, that I was describing) is for revolving discretionary expenses, like Dining or Entertainment.
