Alex, I think you should go with whatever is your favorite for tests, and I don't see it being a problem for people to understand what it is doing, especially if you are using a TDD style.
The BDD style tests require a bit of understanding on how they work, and how all the context setup happens, but the TDD tends to be simply straight code, with some asserts which any developer should understand easily. mocha is one of the more popular testing frameworks with some nice functionality and the good benefit of being able to work on server and browser (if you are using chai), so I wouldn't hesitate to use this for examples. Use descriptive test names, descriptive asserts, and possibly additional comments for good readability.
