Such a compatibility layer would certainly be nice, but I don't have 
time right now to write it.
It also wouldn't solve the problem of adding context (AFAIK).

This framework is more or less exactly what I need to solve my problems;
I need to integrate logging from independent libraries (which I will fork 
and
pull-request), on the server and in the browser (starting with Derby / 
Racer<http://derbyjs.com>
).

It also does sound like fun :)
