a programmer shouldn't mind to progam in different languages. but, its the same as with coding style: if you're in a team, stick to its style. and if you open source something, then stick to the style/lang of the target community. in node vanila js is the main language. of course you can opensource typescript or coffeescript. do this. you simply have to deal then with less traction. at least for now.
