And luvit and candor.io and luv and luvmonkey and node.native and pyuv and many others. Needless to say, libuv has had a positive impact on the software world. There are things I wish had been differently for sure (that's true of any successful project I think), but overall I really enjoy using this C library. And I'm not a C developer.
As I've spent the last year or two working with it, Bert and Ben has been extremely helpful the few times I was able to capture their attention. Please everyone, leave the drama alone and move on. What's the next exciting thing to work on? What can you do to improve what he have now? How can you be a friend to all? I think it would be fun to rewrite libuv in a was that doesn't use callbacks, but instead has a poll-like interface. This would make it very fast to call using luajit ffi, for example. If I had more time, I would help Fedor finish candor and candor.io. other than the bad debugging experience, candor is a pretty fun language. Let's spend our precious time making and not destroying ok? I sure don't have near enough time as it is to work on all the cool things there are. -Tim Caswell (Aka @creationix) On Dec 9, 2013 10:10 PM, "Stephen Belanger" <[email protected]> wrote: > Rust and Julia also use it. > > On Monday, December 9, 2013 at 1:05 PM, Alex Kocharin wrote: > > > 10.12.2013, 00:39, "Ben Noordhuis" <[email protected]>: > > On Mon, Dec 9, 2013 at 7:29 PM, Mikeal Rogers <[email protected]> > wrote: > > On Dec 9, 2013, at 9:13AM, Jorge Chamorro <[email protected]> > wrote: > > stepping over the guy who is in charge of libuv and pissing him off > > No part of this is accurate. > > > On the contrary, it's 100% accurate.
