I'm trying to create a HTTPS proxy server in Node.JS v0.10.24 using a
self-signed certificate. Here's the code I'm using:

var https = require('https');

var server = https.createServer({
    key: fs.readFileSync('key.pem'),
    cert: fs.readFileSync('cert.pem')
});

server.on('request', function(req, res) {
    res.end('hello');
});

server.listen(8080);

This server correctly boots up and is accessible via https://localhost:8080.
However, when I set it as a HTTPS proxy (on Mac OS X), the server emits
connection events but never emits either request orerror. The connection
hangs indefinitely and eventually times out.
