>From what I've seen, everyone I've come across looking for Node.js devs 
assumes that they come from front end and somehow stumbled onto the server 
side. If you only do server side things, I haven't seen any employer really 
"get it" that you can do only server side Javascript. Especially in the 
more "experienced" positions on the server-side, it's even more rare from 
what I can tell.
