Thanks for understanding guys, I felt very alone in these thoughts and
unwelcome..
I really screwed up in the playoffs last year in not following procedure in
playing
the games and I have been thinking of ways to atone.. I wanted to prepare a
checklist that (especially new mgrs) could follow in playing games so they are
not
disqualified and send a copy to everybody and be available for the inevitable
lost copies..
I have time (perhaps not the knowledge) to assist.

Mike,
i feel partly responsible for starting all this with my proclaimation that ( i
have the #1) am ready to begin. in the recent past the #1 pick and maybe even
the 2 & 3 were announced via email (probably out of anxious idle time),
i think we did a whole round before we opened up the draftsite with all 20 in
attendance.
so officially, i jumped the gun and man am i ever sorry i did.

while alot of these guys are from the Va area and have known eachother for
years , i feel the "good ol' boy" thing is melting away. the new mgrs helps.
timezones will always be an unavoidable issue (are you on the W coast?)

mgrs not having equal access is unacceptable.
robert does the church thing on Sun. so he may not even see this til tonoght.
Jack Howard handles the draft and its proceedures ... though they seem to
disagree on the deadline dates!

truth be told : nombl needs the work that you and Scott mention. my hope is
that Jack will make this happen soon.
i will give them their Sun., before offering my 2cents.

The straight facts are that every other league I am involved in is very well
organized and
the players are listed in position with their important (judgable) SOM stats so
easy
comparison can be made. PERIOD.
Drafts and other League efforts are not made when one team is 'READY' but
actually
on a specific schedule.
It is worrisome when I am told I have the second overall draft pick and then
another
mnager informs me it is not until the 6th pick...
I have tried to load the tradechart and draftchart files without success and
notifed Robert
of that result with not a response...
It concerns me about the 'draft party' occurring 3000 miles away and the
possible specific
time requirements that will be imposed on absent managers..
This League really feels like an old boy network and I feel like I am being
left out and it is
limiting my team's competitiveness..
Those are my concerns, you can ignore them, look at them as constructive
criticisms, or ask
me to leave- its your decision (but I will ask for my dues back).
I will help any way I can to construct these player card spreadsheets but I
can't do it on my
own. It would really help competitiveness!
Geneva
PS stop asking me for trades when I don't even have the information available
to evaluate
the best trade, it makes me fell taken advantage of and like I am some kind of
fool.

<[email protected]> robert, can i cut draft picks?

I think you maybe confusing the waiver draft (bottom 3 teams get to sign
players cuts from all teams and cut 1 of there players upon signing). This is
not the draft you will be drafting in March. This draft is not in the rules as
we don't always do it but it was suppose to be a 1 time draft but it has been
requested last 2 yrs also and I can think this does improved the weaker teams.
Only carded players are allowed to be signed. You maybe the only one that is A
CASUAL PLAYER. You said you read the rules before joining last year. Because we
draft uncarded prospects never thought you were CASUAL PLAYER. I am very sorry
if this is not what you expected but researching for prospects has always been
everyone for themself. All that is happening is making cuts! Cards will not be
sent out until Feb 13th. I think all can find sta ts for 2008 by now. That is
all that is needed for now. NOMBL is starting 9th year and this is first time
anyone has complained about making cuts this early as they are done every year
at the same time. As for the draft NO ONE has said when the email draft will
begin but if someone wants to announce his pick now what is the problem?????
NOMBL time table is setup that once draft is over March 14 rosters are at 40
and we start April 1st every year. That only leaves 16 days for trades, sorting
rosters and getting cmi out and imported and league file sent back out. It may
seem like there is plenty of time but not if your the one doing it. Any
player not on a current roster is available? This means you can draft high
school players or yourself if you wish. Also the spreedsheet that he couldn't
load was because he thought they were in word. Not all emails go through group
emails as I try to keep emails private as some don't like that m a ny
emails.Lastly not sure how I am causing computers not to load?? I just emailed
the draft list to everyone and had you asked I would have sent it to you
earlier. I sent it out earlier anyway?Anyone that would like to discuss this
further please email at [email protected] or call me at 757-235-4494. Rules
15.4 says:15.4 The NOMBL public league email address will be used for positive
discussion and league matters only. Arguments and demeaning others shall not
be tolerated. Let's keep it fun! These emails are certainly are not keeping it
fun.Thanks for your cooperation,ROBERT
