We cant tell you want the draft finished before Thurs when you leave can we LOU
(lol)?

Last year we did a lot more than 4 rounds in 6 and 1/2 hrs (we even started
later and completed only 2 full rounds) so not sure why this year it will take
that long?

Besides where did you get 5 mins from?

your projected time is everyone will take 5 min. That never happens. You never
take that long, nor does Carl or Randy and then we do have some that use the
autodraft which is 1 second difference. Then rounds 9 and 10 have 5 no picks
(according to the site)which is 25 mins right there.

We do not have time to put the draft on hold as this is going fairly slow as it
is. While I do think this should have been addressed before the draft started,
no one seemed interested in these 2 pitchers. Below are the teams with IP
listed and there are certainly much better innings out there.
Remember, these 2 pitchers were cut from rosters. California was 37 games
behind in their division, and still deemed Backe not worth keeping. Pitt. was
approx. 12 games behind the front runner in their divisio, and did not think
Suppan worth keeping.

AT QUICK LOOK, THESE 2 ARE BETTER CHOICES
Nate Robinson, 31 yrs. old, 168 IP, DET
Scott Feldman, 26 yrs. old, 151 IP, TEX, listed as their # 3 pitcher this
season.........

TEAM INNINGS
BUF 1533
CHE 1577
DES 1818
DUB 1327 NEEDS APPROX. 120 MORE
GEN 2153 PLENTY TO TRADE ( LET'S MAKE A DEAL )
HOW 1635
LAK 1460
LVP 1033 W/0 BACKE & SUPPAN 1376 WITH THEM...STILL NEEDS A FEW MORE
NOR 1686
NBS 1279 DOES NEED APPROX. 180 MORE
OAK 1711
OHI 1380 NEEDS APPROX. 80 MORE
PEN 1631
PHI 1783
POR 1607
RAP 1276 NEEDS APPROX. 200 MORE
SUF 1726
TID 1541
VIR 1718

Again, at draft day, allowing 5 minutes per pick, 1 round will take 100 minutes
( 4 rounds 400 minutes = 6 HRS & 40 Minutes )

em ail)

There was an email questioning the wisdom and timing of allowing L.V. to
take those 2 starters to fill the void of cutting 4 too many players. I have
emailed the 2 league presidents yesterday but have still not heard back from
either. Since this manager also noted that he made a trade he would not have
made had he known they were not available. He made very good points and
would like to hear from everyone (not group email please)on their thoughts.
I decided to put it to a vote as I think I may have laid a BIG EGG on this
one. Allow me to apologize now no matter which way it turns out. I have been
in a fog for awhile now and thank you Mr. Reickart for his personal email
that pointed out the problem. I was gone but now I am back.
So until I hear from the League Presidents and make get the final
decision/vote the draft is on hold. I also would like suggestions on how to
handle if my decision is reversed. I thinking maybe allow anyone from the
Cubs on down the option of keeping their pick or drafting one of the players
moved to L.V. roster. As for L.V. just allowing him to recall those players
cut that put him 4 under or as the manager suggested he made the mistake not
us to leave them off the roster period. AGAIN this is fault as Lou keep
trying to get me to solve this but...............

Humbly yours,
ROBERT
