Here the use of Auxes looks necessary. Considering the main strips outputs are for the Broadcast bus, you could add an Aux module to send to the control room bus (here your "select" button would set the aux send volume to -60dB or 0dB), then under that module add another gain module and here would be the real "mute" to prevent the sound from going "on air", Raphaël
