I'm not particularly a stickler for correctness, but in this case I correctly used "yoots" because it is a New York City-centric word, in an effort to match the urban culture of the New York Times. Joe Pesci is just an actor; he is sometimes entertaining, but of no importance. "Having fun" with New York City slang, Mark Spahn

Unchecking that got the same result you did. That still doesn't tell me who Joe Pesci is, why anybody should be aware of how he pronounces "youth", or why you, a stickler for correctness, would use that spelling.
