It seems that Atwater was not known for much other than that ad and some other "behind the scenes" machinations. But I guess those that hate the Republicans and everything about them will never forget Atwater, and I guess Karl Rove too. Personally, I do not care much about the Republicans one way or another, so why should I get excited about some obscure Republican operative?
