Thanks to everyone who is working on this project. It has superceded all my
other text editors with the exception of Visual Studio.

I've uploaded a screenshot to illustrate what I see, perhaps Nicholas could
do that as well...
http://martijn.coppoolse.com/temp/Npp/NppExplorer_non_ClearType.png
Notice that the title, menu, tab, editor all have smoothed fonts. Even the title
caption of the Explorer is smoothed! Just not the contents of the Explorer,
those letters are all jagged.
I've checked, and it's only the explorer and the favorites. The function list
does use a proper font, with ClearType.
The only other window I can find that has a bitmap font (i.e. non-ClearTypeable)
is the grid of the Shortcut Mapper:

I can not reproduce the crash.
Could you contact me in order that I can send you the binary in debug mode,
so I can fix this issue?

Could you download v4.0 of zipped format, unzip all the files in a clean folder,
then launch it and quit?
Please let me know if the crash resists.
Don

More detail, please.
(your windows version, Notepad++ version, step by step to reproduce the crash,
etc)
Otherwise, we can not help you.

Hi just wanted to say how much I like NotePad++ , Thanks!
I just got a 1 gig USB drive & was looking for a FAQ on running NotePad++ from
it on other computers than mine.
Has this been tried? will it work if I just copy the dir to the USB?
Thanks again, MIke

Ever since I started using the windows shell BBLEAN to replace
explorer..Whenever
I press "Find" or "Ctrl+F" the find window pops up..then an alert pops up
Title: System Err
Body: The system could not find the file specified.
If I close the error NP++ closes..If I just ignore the error it still works..But
then I have this annoying error up. Which I cannot close otherwise NP++ closes.
It only does this in NP++ no other software
Windows XP SP2

OK to reply to my own previous post(sorry SF didn't log me automatically).
FIX:
Copy all the XML files in the Notepad++ install directory (usually C:\Program
Files\Notepad++\ into your Documents and Settings\%username%\Application
Data\Notepad++\ folder. Where %username% = your username.
I just ran the install without uninstalling version 3.9.
Hope this helps and I'm not sure how you can fix this at the install level.
Unless you get Notepad++ to check if you have the new configuration files
installed
and if not it asks if you want to update them. Better to ask because someone
might have customized one of the files...

I tried NP++ and a PLD compiler, simply bundled onto a Flash drive, and I
was able to compile/edit without any problems.
I think I tried more than 1 PC.
So I'd suggest try it, and report back any issues.
