when I have any files in split view, and I use "search in opened files", it
gives a error msg "Runtime Error! R6025 - pure virtual function call"

I guess this is sth not implemented yet? Can others repeat this error?

if the content is as follow showing in Hex:

40 10 00 42 2c e5 29 4a 28 a2 8a 28 a4 92 05 96

when you try to show it in Binary

it will come out a wrong value like this:

01000000 00010001 00000000 ...

When I choose Save As, the File Save Dialog opens in the "current" dir, that
is the directory that was last saved to.

If I choose to Save As, I would like NP++ to take the file's own dir as the
starting point. I do not (always) want to change the path to the file. Most
of the times it's only to store another version of the same file under a similar
name in the same directory.

When I right click on the tab, the Dutch version shows "Current dir path to
Clipboard" as the third filename-to-clipboard option. I guess this is simply
the English tranlation. I would like to propose to change this into "File dir
to Clipboard", to avoid confusion with what is otherwise seen as the current
dir (like the dir the application started in, which seems to be the current
default for the File Save Dialog).

Hi all,
I'm new to Notepad++ but it does appear to support a rich feature set.

Does it have the ability to insert lines at a set interval?

What I want to do is take a SQL script that I have generated elsewhere and then
every 1000 lines inset a new line that contains
   commit;

I could of course do this by hand, but I am a lazy git and use any tool
available
to get round these mundance tasks ;)

I like the looks of Notepad++ and would like to get more out of it, so any help
on the matter would be much appreciated!

Regards,
  Woody

I tought about them, too. Before a long time ;). It's easy to implement, because
HEX-Edit has a handler for views. The only one is the display of web sites:

I know that IE provides a container to show HTML sides, but:
Does exist in Firefox or Opera an interface to create a container? Maybe some
user won't lunch IE for a preview...

Best Regards
Jens

A message about this was posted in the past:
http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3424615

By the way, (how) is it possible to get _thread( view of message)s_, instead
of individual messages with only a listing of the thread messages, as (advanced)
search results? It would instantly present the context of the found message.

I would also very much like to be able to edit files that are marked read-only.
I do not want to save these files again (with the same name). I want to be able
to edit them and when I'm done, save them (as...) with a new name.

I think the Clear Read Only Flag feature is nice, but this puts me at risk of
accidently overwriting the original file. Being able to clear only the edit
buffer's read-only flag would satisfy my wishes. Since I can't save a _file_
that is read-only, I should always get a Save File As Dialog when I want to
save the edited buffer.
