Another nice option is to right-click and use the scroll wheel.

A fixed-character ruler could get pretty clumsy when displaying a file with
proportionally spaced fonts or when using syntax highlighting which may display
text with mixed fonts. Such a ruler might generate a lot of posts from confused
users observing that the current-position marker in the ruler doesn't
necessarily
align with the insertion cursor in the file, or reporting that they see that
the ruler works well for some lines in their file, but not for other lines.

Regards.
Greg

Hey,

I've got a small problem with highlighting in php.
When I open a page with a lot of php code and also the following:

echo "LOTS OF HTMLCODE ....

<SCRIPT TYPE=\"text/javascript\">
<!--
if (document.images) {
...some javascript code
}

//-->
</SCRIPT>
</p>...MORE HTML CODE ";

The first time I open the document (right click, edit with NPP) it highlights
the php correctly till '<!--'.
After that all the code is considerd to be html (although we are still in php).

The strange thing is that by switching to another document in NPP and back to
this document everything is highlighted normal. Seems like there is a difference
in highlighting after opening and highlighting a already opened document.

Not sure if that is really the case, but if there is a way to fix it, it would
greatly appreciated.

Yes, you are right... I myself hate active spell checking very much. I think
it should be abandoned from all computer programs.

Yup Don a good job. Keep up the good work.
What I do like is that np++ has so many uses. In the past I've used it for
coding
C++ but now mainly HTML.
However I put it to good use on a daily basis for editing my game servers'
config
files. Very nice.

If you try it, please don't hesitate to give me feedback

cheers,

In an embedded development environment, is it possible to specify a toolchain
to run: i.e.: compiler, assembler, linker etc. ?

Plugins/TextFX Tools/Word Count. The character count is also displayed in the
status bar.

I know there is only on of you and there are a lot of requests but, I think
there should be support for Creatures CAOS programming language. (more info
on creatures at http://www.gamewaredevelopment.co.uk/creatures_index.php)  I
hope you can add it :).

Try search and replace with RegularExpressions:
Look for: \r\n\t
Replace with: \t
This means: Look for CarriageReturn (CR), LineFeed (LF), and Tab; Replace with
Tab (only)
Depending on the format of your file, you may need to look only for "\r\t" or
"\n\t". To find-out what is your file end-of-line sybmol(s), turn on "Show End
Of Line" or "Show all characters" in the View menu - you will see "CR", "LF",
or both at the end of all lines.
