This feature is not enough.

It is only convert lead tabs. If there are some tabs among words, the tabs will
be ignored.

Meanwhile, if some lead space is not multiples of tab spacing, it ignore the
additional spaces.

For the function list pluggin for Notepad++, I used the same code in Function
List help to define my own user rules, but I get the word 'function' next to
every function name in the list, making the list too wide. Is there a way to
remove that word and just have the funciton name itself displayed for each
entry?

I confirm that the "Remember the current session for next launch" checkbox bug
has been fixed in 4.1.2, along with the Ruby overflow vulnerability and other
tweaks/enhancements. --Joel

I guess I didn't understand your original question. The only ways I know of
to "open/close a folder" (that is, to expand/collapse a folder) is to click
on the plus/minus signs, use the View menu, or use the shortcut keys
alt-<number>
and alt-shift-<number>.

You might be able to map those functions to a macro, which you can then bind
to a key, but it might be limited in what it does in this case. --Joel

Hi,

i install and test notepad++ today for my first time (V 4.1.2). It looks and
feel very nice. Good job!

A simple problem:

I want to save a simple .txt file. I opend the "save as..." menu and choose
a filename (eg. "test"). Then i change below in the menu the file extension
to .txt an save it. But everytime i do so, there is no extension on the saved
file. The name of the file is only "test" without an extension...

What is my mistake?

Thanks for an answer...

My tip was for Windows XP. If you are running Vista, I would think uninstalling
Notepad++ and then re-installing it with the "Context Menu Entry" component
UNchecked.

If you are running XP, you should be able to "rename nppcm.dll" even though
it is being used by another process. Single-click on the file in Windows
Explorer
to select it. Wait a brief moment, then click on the filename again in a
slightly
different place (we're not trying to launch it here). This will put the
filename
in an edit box to permit you to rename it.

If that doesn't work for you for whatever reason, then the last resort would
be the Vista suggestion above. --Joel

Hi there,

I wanted to know whether it was possible to copy-paste code to Word, but by
keeping the code in the same colour as it appears in NPP, with each keyword
in the right colour and in font courrier (for instance).

I've been looking for a way to do this, but couldn't find it. It would be really
helpful to make code documentation and/or tutorials.

Thanks in advance :)

F.

Hello

Yes, indeed. Could you please have a look into the application data folder?
There meight be the file "Favourites.dat". Rename it and try again to start
Notepad++.

Please report me the results.

Best Regards
Jens
