Ralph/pshute,

Thanks for your interest and answers. My desired solution is still not working
out for me. A couple of my colleagues are using different editors that are
working the way that I expected Notepad++ to work, Crimson for one. It sounds
like the problem is related to the initial design, which was based on Scintilla.
Since I have a solution that involves opening the file in another text editor
and making changes their, it doesn't seem like it's worth my time to continue
to try and find a solution using only Notepad++.

Bruce

In version 4.1.2, I've noticed that if I uncheck the "Don't underline" checkbox,
each time I start Notepad++ it is checked off. Is this a new bug?

This isn't necessarily a lot of work. I only care about the auto indent
behavior.
If I hit enter on a line with some indentation, then give me a new line with
*exactly* the same indentation.

It would be more difficult it you want to dynamically change the behavior of
the tab key. I don't really care about that. I'm fine with using the space
bar in a file that uses spaces for indentation. I always have "show white
space"
on so I know what kind of file I'm working with.

I know some editors attempt to decide the indentation scheme of the file and
mimic it whenever you hit tab. I'm not asking for that.

I searched through the code, and it was easy to find where it would be changed.
I just don't want to have to do that. Is it possible that a plug-in could do
this?

Thanks,
Josh

Is this feature on the to-do-list already? I really hope that it will be added
to Notepad++.

Hi folks,

I configured my whole Notepad++ to work with the font ProggyClean from
http://www.proggyfonts.com/ -- this saves lot of space on my 14" laptop screen.
I would like to use this font in HexEditor too but didn't find the place where
to change the font for this. Did I failed in search or is this not possible?

Greets
Alex

Is N++ a good editor for files over 1gb in size?

Notepad++ includes extra space between lines. While nice on-screen, it uses
extra paper when printing. I've looked but cannot find a way to change the
vertical spacing so that the printed lines of code are closer together
vertically
and thus take less paper.

Currently, we edit in Notepad++ but use PFE to print.

Is there a way to change vertical spacing or would it be a code change in the
program?

Thanks!
Patrick

Basically everthing is the same as the example given in the Help for the
Function
List pluggin. I am using it for a custom pascal language, here is my code:

Function List Parsing Rule
--------------------------
Function Begin : [ \t]*function[ \t]+
Function List name : [a-zA-Z0-9_]+
Function End : \([a-zA-Z0-9_, \t]+\)
Seperator between : {I have nothing specified here}
Body Begin \<begin\>
Body End \<end\>

Code snippet:
--------------
Function CopyThoseFiles(): boolean;
var
  var1 : integer;
begin
  do something...
end;
// *********
Function CopyMoreFiles(): boolean;
var
  var1 : integer;
begin
  do something...
end;

These functions display in the list like this:
function CopyThoseFiles(
function CopyMoreFiles(

I understand it's not so pretty.

However, it's not possible to read from nativeLang.xml since Explorer menu
context
component is not part of Notepad++.

Do you see any other .txt files? Is Windows set to hide known file extensions?
