According to http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/regExpList.php \? should
match a question mark. As far as I can see, even just ? matches a question
mark, i.e. it appears to have no special meaning. Normally it means match 0
or 1 times, I think, but not here. So perhaps you're right, it is poorly
implemented
(wait till you try to work with newlines). But many regex implementations are
quirky - you just have to know their idiosyncrasies.

Without this feature using files whith unusual extensions, like ".func" or

thanks for your efficient work for this two very interesting plugin and for

Explorer plug-in in one of the reason that I use notepad++ especially button

It is not automatic but you have to click on ctrl+shift+space for completion
from words already in your files
or ctr+space to add word according to your language. Language words are stored
in .api files

How do I set it so Notepad++ defaults to having the 'Wrap around' checkbox in
the Find dialog UNchecked? I find this annoying and keep having to uncheck it.
Otherwise (other than no auto-load feature) I'm liking the program. Keep up
the good work.

I'm trying to display unicode characters (eg East Asian languages) in a pop-up
menu in my plugin, but unfortunately it doesn't work (square boxes are displayed
instead). I suspect its because npp is compiled to the ascii version of win32
(as shown by depends.exe). Is that correct? Any walkarounds if so? :-)

Some people have problem with installing the npplauncher to replace notepad.exe,
since the Windows File Protection, especially myself.... For some unknown,
stupid
reason, I couldn't overwrite the notepad.exe permanently.... There was no
windows
file protection dialog asking whether I want to keep the non-original file
whatsoever
as it normally does.....
So, I went searching the net and stumbled upon a small program which can replace
a windows protected file easily.... It's free and quite handy, so I decided
to make a small little batch script so that it makes it easier to install...

PS: It will also backup the original NOTEPAD.EXE

How do I get NP++ to not pop up the 'file has changed' dialog and either ignore
the change or reload the file automatically? The files I have open are often
being changed by outside programs and either one of these other modes is way
more useful to me.
