I second that, it's what keeps me frustrated too.

I agree it would be a brilliant move forward if ftp functionality could
be incorperated.

Hi
I downloaded the "NppInsertPlugin" project from n++ main site and I started
to learn how to make the plugin
but when I wanted to send message to n++ to open a file, compiler can't find
a WM_DOOPEN macro

my question is: what iI must add to project to have this macro

I suppose that you're talking about splite line feature.
It's available in menu Edit.

Notepad++ will try to follow the newest keywords defined in new version of each
supported languages, but not all the set of function words.

You can modify langs.xml to put all keywords you want in your beloved language
section.
(It is tested with the given function words, no memory limit).

I tried to implement the thread support for Find in files, but for some unknown
reasons it didn't work.

If you want to work on it, you'll be very welcome, and I'll include your
modification
if it's high quality coding.

My N++ looses focus everytime I switch back to it, this is very annoying. I
then have to pick mouse in order to click somewhere in N++ text controller,
this to get focus and be able to start typing again.

When I switch to N++ with say ALT+TAB, N++ main window has focus, but I got
no cursor or insertion point displayed at all! This happens everytime I ALT+TAB
then switch back to N++ (using old school WinXP pre-SP1 for some 3 years now).
Installed n++_4.0.2.exe package then upgraded to 411_bins, and now even upgraded
to 412_bins. Cant get rid of this annoyance :/ Help appreciated.

(Only behaviour similar I can think of is with Total Commander when I sometimes
have to push 'ENTER' to get TC window displayed on screen after switching to
it. I think author posted about this behaviour being normal. It is definetly
less painfull than the loose focus I experience with N++, push 'ENTER' is no
problem for me as I can keep hands on KB.)

Although Notepad++ support natively unicode document, it is not an unicode
application. The walkaround solution is not use unicode string ;)
