Hello all,

I've been trying to create a simple function list for a javascript-like
language, but I can't' figure out how it's done.

I've tried putting in what they put as the help almost exactly, but it just
isn't matching what I type. Why not?

For example, even with simple values, like

Function Begin : function
Function LIst : [a-z]+
function End : 6

and nothing else... it doesn't work. It also doesn't work if I put things
in Body Begin and Body End.

Any ideas?

Thanks
~sean

I bet Don wouldn't have ever thought that this thread would carry on for so
long. For the life of me I can't understand why it would upset anyone. NP++
is one of the best code editors around and if Don HO wants to have a joke then
that's his prerogative. It doesn't detract from the quality of his programme.
Anyway I'm off upstairs now where I'll swiftly strip down to my NP++ thong and
leap into bed.

I think TextFX can do this to some degree. Look at the NPPTextFXdemo.TXT file
that came with Notepad++; on my PC it is in the plugin\NPPTextFX subdirectory.

I tried to remove the session.xml, then Notepad++ worked again.
But when put it back, it still crash. It is still useful for me to send you
the zipped Notepad++ folder (with out the files opened in the session)? If
yes, I will send you then.

Can the Group(e.g. "INCLUDE", "CLASS") and Subgroup(e.g. "Class name" & "ENUM"
& "METHOD" under "CLASS") defined by user?
If yes the Function List will be very very great. Since I want to define "HTML"
as Group, and there is "Table", "input" under it. So that I can get all the
html tags (with "id" or "name" attribute) in a php file to a list, it makes
the navigation in the file much easier.

The following is what I mean:

O INCLUDE
O CLASS
|-O Class name
| |-O ENUM
| | |-- Enum 1
| | '-- Enum 2
| '-O METHODE
| |-- Metohde 1
| '-- Methode 2
O HTML
|-O Table
| |-O Table name
| | |-- attribute 1
| | '-- attribute 2
| '-O Input name
| | |-- attribute 1
| | '-- attribute 2

I wonder if N++ could be made aware (by the user, i.e. me) that it is dealing
with say Turkish Chars (even though Unicode) that it should case convert a
dotted
small i to/from a dotted capital i [and similarly, a dotless small i to/from
dotless capital i]

Hi again.

I don't think it's the preferences since they're set to basic -- change to or
from the default doesn't change anything.

Secondly, I'm guessing the problem doesn't relate to background setting, general
computer programs, video software, or malware -- considering that this problem
doesn't exist anywhere, notepad, or this very message box.

To repeat, the lagging occurs only when writing in the space of a long paragraph
(consisting of about 200 or 300 words or so).

I'm hoping the above info will mean something to a programmer somewhere. If
anyone out there understands this problem, please reply and give suggestions.

Thanks.

ps: I have a 3.2 ghz pentium computer with 2 gb ram.

I'd rather not have the +/- buttons on the left side. How can I turn them off
completely?
