"The file doesn't exist do you want to keep it" or something close to that
I am working on a project over a VPN, and it always says that whenever I take
focus away, It'd be nice to have a way to turn that off.

I think you mean that your anti-virus has quarantined or removed Notepad++
because
it thinks the application is infected. Maybe it is. Or maybe the virus
definitions
need to be updated; there have been some reports of false-positives for the
installer. But the executable itself? That's a bit scary... --Joel

I don't use UTF-8, but I'd like to mention that version 4.1.2 shows a menu
option
under Format that says "UTF-8 without BOM". It may not work, or it might not
be what you want, but if you don't have it in 4.0.2, you might want to consider
updating to the newer version. --Joel

Notepad++ is not really a word processor; it's meant to be a text editor. It
seems to use all the Open Type fonts which I understand are TrueType or
TrueType-compatible fonts. It also seems to use some regular TrueType fonts,
but not all. --Joel

First, I just want to say how much I like Notepad++.
Second, I noticed that the Spell-checker plugin uses Aspell and when I went
to get Aspell and the English dictionary, it looked like the page hasn't been
updated since the end of 2002. I remembered that Open Office and Mozilla
Firefox
both switched their dictionaries to Hunspell (http://hunspell.sourceforge.net/).
Hunspell is a new, free, and GPL/LGPL/MPL dictionary setup based off of MySpell.
I, therefore, was wondering if Notepad++ users would be better served by
Hunspell
over Aspell since Hunspell is up-to-date and used by other major projects?
Also is it possible to switch Notepad++'s Spell-checker from Aspell to Hunspell?

Yes, that would make my life easier! I also suggest to add shortcuts to "Go
to the left/right tab" in addition to just goto the pre/next tab.

Maybe you need to experiment with Plugins/TextFX TextViz/Show lines with
clipboard
text. It'll hide all the lines that don't contain whatever's in the clipboard,
allowing you to copy those that do. Only for simple search criteria, I guess.

Hi,
I've noticed that if you save an existing file with a new name, you can no
longer
open the file with the old file name, as notepad++ thinks it's already open.
How to duplicate this error:
1. You open file example1.html
2. Save open file as example2.html
3. Try to open file example1.html
I'm using the v4.1.2 on available windows XP SP2. My apologies if this isn't
the forum for posting these bugs. I'm not used to sourceforge, and didn't see
any bug reporting mechanism accessible to me.

Hello everyone,
I got the same problem as mentioned above, while trying to define a user defined
language-template for a BASIC dialect, which uses "end if" to close an
IF...THEN...ELSE-Block. Has anybody an idea how to realize this?

winscp
or something.
I know there are alternatives like webdrive, netdrive and sftpdrive, but they
are either not-free or illegal.
