Sandbox is shown to notificate the user that the tree is now in update sequence.
Automatic update was requested. And I do this anytime on focosing.
Anyway, can you confirm that update on Network drives uses less time now?
Best Regards
Jens

If you do this using the CTRL+R Find/Replace dialog, it works fine, except on
empty lines. (The regexp part (.) requires at least one character to be on the
line. You can additionally replace the empty lines using another Replace
action.)
Using this regexp with the CTRL+H Replace dialog, has the same effect when you
use the "Replace all" button. However, when you press "Replace" sequentially,
you'll notice the character will be inserted at the beginning of the same line
over and over again. Unfortunately, the cursor position doesn't move because
of the auto-selection of the replaced string.

It's true that Notepad++ (and most of plugins) is coded in c/c++. However it
doesn't mean that Notepad++ users should use only c/c++ (and don't forget the
tool it-self supports the varied languages other than c/c++).
Contrarily, I think it's a good thing so that c#, Delphi or python (pyNpp) users
can use more frequently Notepad++ : it will give another horizons to the
project.
In anyway, Notepad++ should be a way but not a goal, in order to offer the
maximum
possibilities to the developers. I think that's the only way to enrich
Notepad++.
BTW, please let me know when the project reaches to the stable state, so that
I can publish your project on Notepad++ site.
Don

Well done. :D Not that I speak any other language than English. I don't even
do that very well. lol
I like to see people making the effort to put systems like this in place.
Call me a Notepad++ fan-boy but Notepad++ rocks. :)

I would suggest looking at the configuration files and posting up the language.
Its nice to see new languages.
The only down side to Notepad++ supporting lots of different languages is that
the list gets HUGE! I wonder if soon it won't need a better interface for
choosing
your language?

I forgot to add this link....
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/UserLanguageDefineSystem-HOWTO.php
It shows how to define your own language.
Don't forget to save it and then perhaps someone can suggest what files/parts
of files you need to post up or send to a dev for inclusion.
I'm not too sure how you go about getting stuff included in Notepad++ myself...
there are probably instructions floating around somewhere.

Just came across a small bug.
When you set a style in something like Global Styles -> Default Style
And you tick bold etc, click Apply it bolds the text in the document you have
open. Then un-tick bold and Apply the Notepad++ application persists with the
bold until you restart.
Does that make sense?
In other words you can bold / italics / underline in a style and it will persist
for that session and can't be undone without a restart.

You can also use the advanced search/replace (control+r) without regex. Use
control+M to place a newline in the search box, then control+M followed by the
text you want to add.
This won't work for the first line.

When working with multiple tabs open it would be nice if when you select "save
as" from the file menu that it would default to the directory in which the file
you are working on is located.

You're complaining that when you deleted text, the text to the right moves left
to fill the space, correct? Yes, that's how it works. What you really appear
to want is to replace the selected text with spaces, rather than delete it.
I have a feeling there's something like that in the very latest version, but
I haven't tried it. Not even sure what it's called.

Another approach is to use advanced find/replace (control+r). Tick the regex
box, and enter the columns you want to work on in the box that initially
contains
"#-# column". E.g. for columns 12 to 20, enter 12-20.
In the find box, enter just a dot to find any character. In the replace box,
enter just a space.
The find/replace operation will operate just over the columns specified,
changing
everything in them to spaces.

Control+M only works with regex turned off.
\n support is very dodgy in Notepad++, and apparently it's going to be hard
to fix. See http://notepad-plus.wiki.sourceforge.net/FindReplaceNewlineHowTo
for more information.
Control+T works for tabs, possibly only when regex is turned off too.
