CCompletion 1.04
- removed subclassing (N++ 4.4 added the needed interface)
- modified Ctags switches to avoid huge tag signatures - much smaller ctags.tmp
files and hopefuly no more parsing problems
- added an option to ignore invalid tags and continue parsing without
a warning
- increased possible filename length to maximum, just in case (in identifier
structures)

Firstly - thanks Don HO for great work!
Small problem with N++ 4.4 (Russian language). System: XP Pro SP2 Eng with
locale
Ru (windows-1251).
In Options -> Shortcuts -> Shortcut mupper I have unreadable russian names of
the shortcuts. But if I start Modify any shortcut, encoding of russian name
is OK (see screenshot below). Any solution? Thanks in advance!

I know there are a few different threads here with people complaining how the
dropdown menu doesn't set the extension and that txt should be the default
extension
for text files, but I'm not sure of the definitive thread for this issue.
Anyway,
4.4 forces the .txt extension. I don't really want an extension for most of
my plaintext files, and I already have numerous files saved without extensions.
Forcing an extension because some people don't want to type a few extra
characters
is ridiculous. The best thing to do would be to have the dropdown menu selection
automatically select the extension, but I realize this is difficult to
implement,
so I offer two other ideas. The dropdown menu displays the extension in the
filename field. "Normal text (*.txt)" has ".txt", "Java (*.java)" has ".java",
and so on. "All types (*.*)" would have a blank field. Or, the New Document
area of the preferences has a checkbox to toggle automatic extension completion.

to add a text on consecutive lines, youselect a block of 0 wide with the
ALT+Right
click and use the Alt+C to enter th text you want.
the only issue id what you mention at the end of your comment : "eventually
adding spaces if the lines are short" => this is the problem of virtual
spaces...

Hi
First I would like thanks don to implement some user ideas, nevertheless I don't
think that it is a good idea. Indeed even if I don't often use save as, when
I am using it I prefer to type directly my file with extension instead of having
to select the good file extension in a menu, and what about my custom
extensions...
Even if it is not very important I don't think that it make notepad++ better.
The best solution may that if you select *.* you can add your file extension
and putting it by default or remember the last selected filter to have to make
that only one time. An other solution is to doesn't add an extension an
extension
has already been added but it doesn't solve Andrew problems...

Thanks for developing Notepad++. Great program of its kind, but I don't use
it, 'cause deletion operations of text ahead of the cursor insertion point (by
keeping the Delete key down) takes much longer than on other text editors
similar
to it. Couldn't this somehow be changed using one of its setting windows?
