Yes, because the structure of session file is changed to adapt new session
behaviour
(remember files opened in 2 views).

Why can't I change the forecolor selection for the current line highlight color?
I can change the highlight color, but not the forecolor. More so Notepad++
should automatically adjust colors so the text is readable when highlighted!
When opening an NFO file I can't read the text under the highlight bar or
selected
text. I change them in the style configuration, but then the colors make it
hard to read text in standard text files. Please include some updates to the
style configuration colors to automatically select a good foreground color based
on the background color of the text! This should be automatic somehow.

Thank you very much for a great program!

How do I make a macro that opens a particular file (in different directory to
current working directory) in a new tab - or is there another way to automate
this.

Thanks

Hi all

Is there a plugin available for syntax highlighting of the Erlang programming
language?
I can't seem to find anything on the internet. I really enjoy using Notepadd++
and would like to be able to use it with Erlang which is the lanuage I currently
use most frequently.

Thanx in advance

This will be version >4.5, right? In NP++ 4.5 the bug is still there.

Thanks for working on this great editor. It is the best one that I could find!

I was trying to add Linden Script Language to Notepad++ *without* using the
User Defined Language, since I wished to share my work with Notepad++ community,
but I failed. I modified langs.xml by adding

<Language name="lsl" ext="lsl" commentLine="//" commentStart="" commentEnd="">
    <Keywords name="instre1">default do else for if jump return state
while</Keywords>
    <Keywords name="instre2">llAbs llAcos llAddToLandBanList ...</Keywords>
    <Keywords name="type1">float integer key list quaternion rotation string
vector</Keywords>
    <Keywords name="type2">at_rot_target at_target attach ...</Keywords>

    <Keywords name="type3">ACTIVE AGENT ALL_SIDES ATTACH_HUD_CENTER_2
...</Keywords>
</Language>

I also changed styles.xml by adding

<LexerType name="lsl" desc="Linden Script Language" ext="">
   <WordsStyle name="DEFAULT" styleID="3" fgColor="000000" ... />
   <WordsStyle name="FLOW CONTROL" styleID="4" fgColor="0000FF" ...
keywordClass="instre1" />
   ...
   <WordsStyle name="COMMENT LINE" styleID="2" fgColor="008000" ... />
</LexerType>

and added lsl.api in plugins\APIs

default
do
else
for
if
jump
...
VEHICLE_TYPE_SLED
ZERO_ROTATION
ZERO_VECTOR

No way. At last, after many tries, I decided to use the User Defined Language.
It works, but

1. it gives me no way to specify five keywords types, but only four, so that
I had to mix TYPES and EVENTS.
2. if I specify / as operator, // is no more parsed as start of comment (this
is a bug, I suspect).

Is it possible to take advantage of my work to add LSL to next version of
Notepad++
?

Hi steakhacher
If windows.h is not found then the sdk is not installed or the VS Express is
not configured to look in the sdk directories to find it. Please clarify exactly
what you have done to follow the "sdk steps".
To check open Visual studio. Select menu item Tools/options
In the dialog box expand "Projects and Solutions" and select "VC++ Directories"
and in the dropdown box "Show directories for" select "include Files". This
list should include "c:\Program Files\Microsoft Platform SDK\include" or similar
which is where windows.h is found.
If this is not the case it suggests you have not set up sdk for VS express.
please report back what you find.

i would LOVE this option. my programming language (business rules!) when it
calls the editor (N++) assigned, it tells it to pull the same file up, which
resets the pointer back to the top of the file everytime... very annoying...
currently i use the second view (cause it does not get reset) and/or use
bookmarks
and just jump back to the bookmark... but I LOVE the idea of having a REMBMER
LAST POSITION IN FILE option... that would be cuper convient.

Hi Don HO
Thank for including the patch. I was wondering how to get it noticed.
I would like to help but I am not sure I have the skill set to be terribly
useful.

Try removing the NppInsertPlugin.dll file from the plugin directory. It looks
like it may not be used anymore.

If there is no plugin available, I would appreciate if someone can point me
in the right direction regarding doing this myself. I have already edited the
stylers.xml and langs.xml files on my Notepad++ installation, but it does not
make any difference.
