Better yet, progressively load the file. Splitting a file is just silly. You
could create a simple script to do that.

I have the same issue. Works fine with existing files. But if I create a new
file and try to save it crash.

I was only talking in memory... if you progressively load the file you are
having
to free up the tail as well... essentially it is the same thing just I was
thinking
in more database style thought process in loading chunks of data into memory
rather than individual characters. Too much MySQL that is my problem... lol
I think I used the wrong terminology really.

Hi everybody,
I wonder if there is the possibility for N++ to use its "Find&Replace" feature
for multiple files, e.g. choosing them from a directory or selecting an entire
directory, instead of open all files in N++ and then perform it.
There is a program that has its capability, it is Multiple File Utilites
(Replacer
Module).

I think I know where it crash but I don't know why.
ke3pup, which filter (Save as types) do you choose before you click the save
button?

it crashes too quickly for me to get a chance to see where it's looking, and
to the question of "Which Filter do you choose", i don't even get a chance to
see to which folder the Dialog is showing let alone choose a filter! it's like
a millisecond thing, the dialog shows very very quickly for a fraction of a
second and then Notepad++ crashes (Disappears).
and to the suggestion of "uninstall, reboot , reinstall" , i knew 100% that
it won't solve the problem however i tried that too , but no luck. for me it
crashes for both New files and Existing Files saving.

was thinking it would be really nice if npp had context aware auto-complete.
you know, for instance in javascript, you have high level structures like
windows,
document, element (dom) and within each one of these types, you get a different
set of fields/methods. same for user defined code. i know this is a little
more complicated to implement because you have to know more about language
details...
but in terms of building a plugin that allowed users to build/share their own
language specific files...
just curious i guess if anyone has worked on something like this and has any
bright ideas as to a clean/flexible implementation strategy.
npp is cool, just picked it up yesterday and figuring stuff out.
