I started a simmilar topic (no responses). I found that it works best to leave
the file type as the deafault(All files, i think...) and type in the extension
manually as you save the fil. Typing in the extension mannually after you've
select C++ source code or anything else will override any extension you type
in manually.

Maybe someone could reply who actually knows something and doesn't just have
too much free time on their hands.

How can I define a keyboard shortcut for toggling word wrap? Should be simple,
but I can't seem to do it.
Thanks.

Hi everybody,
Does anyone know Notepad++ can have an export function similar to another text
editor - ConTEXT (http://www.context.cx/) does? I mean can export to HTML and
RTF for creating documentation/manual purpose.
Thanks!
Kman

Hi everybody,
Does anyone know that can the use Ctrl-PgUp and Ctrl-PgDown to switch among
tabs instead of Ctrl-Tab and Ctrl-Shift-Tab?
I think Ctrl-PgUp and Ctrl-PgDown is much more convenient than the normal method
(Ctrl-Shift-Tab) which require holding down another one more key (Shift) to
switch back.
Thanks!
Kman

Nice to know I'm not alone scratching my head about this one.
Seems bizarre that there is nothing explaining what the green lines mean or
how to turn them off.
Help anyone....Please!

Is there a patch/plugins to make it so the Find/Replace/Find in File features
show up integrated to the program's window instead of a floating window, like
in EditPad?
In case you don't know what I'm talking about here is an image

I really find it kind of estrange that notepad++ is lacking this feature. I
hope there is a path or at least that such feature is being implemented to the
next software update.
Thanks

I would prefer to change the behaviour of the Save As... 'feature'. After
completing
the saving operation, the newly saved file should be opened in editor. Then,
you could rename the file, while having the original as backup (if not needed,
just delete it)

ZIP 2.31 and also gzip 1.3.5 running on Debian Linux to compress them.
I was downloading the ZIP and .gz files created, uncompressing using jZIP v1.1
to my desktop and trying to open with Notepad++.
The text file I created contained four lines and tellingly, the uncompressed
version I downloaded using WinSCP was 4 bytes longer than the ones I
uncompressed
locally.
Unzipping it using Windows' built-in "Compressed folders" and then trying to
open with Notepad++ still crashes the app. [I'm using Windows XP SP2]
