Thanx. It looked nice, but I cant get it to work.

I saved in the plugin directory and even added my help file using the correct
extension. Pressing F1 opens the ABOUT window. Looking in the Key settings
and I found that CTRL+F1 was HELP. Tryed that, but the word just got selected
and nothing further happends

What did I do wrong?

Or is it simply an other key to press?

Ole

Hi there
Looks like a nice tool. Just downloaded it, but cant get it to work. Is there
any problems using this in Vista? I had to install the winhelp system from
Microsoft to at least open the help file. So my help files works now, but not
in your plugin. Anything I should have done?

Ole

I just replaced the MS notepad.exe with the Notepad++ executable but I'm getting
the following errors (in this sequence) when launching notepad.exe from the
Run dialog or when I try to open a text file on my PC. If Notepad++ is already
running I do not receive these errors. I reinstalled Notepad++ but I still get
the same errors.

Any ideas?

Hmm, I use Npp for TeX all the time... maybe I'm not understanding what you
are asking for. Could you explain it in more detail?

Since I don't use Word, and have little experience with it, I'm not sure what
this "outline view" business is.

If you are only using Npp for LaTeX have you tried WinEdt? There is no better
editor for LaTeX; I switched to Npp because I use ConTeXt -- which benefits
from code folding --, Npp is mostly utf-8 capable (though there are a few bugs
in scintilla), NppExec is good for development, and a host of other utilities.
I have set up ConTeXt in a way that code-folding replaces the need for
indenting.
Have you tried using code folding in Npp?

But as far as its editing component is concerned, WinEdt is really the best
I've seen for writers (as opposed to coders per~se).

Best wishes
Idris

Like emacs...

I really like if it's possible!

Basically it is reverte the color of everything! Background turns black and
leters turns white for example ;)

I think it is more nice for the eyes, not so agressive!

Thnks

This can be remedied if the developer adds a Vista manifest file to the EXE
allowing it to run as high as privilege as possible. This will make the
annoying
dialog go away.

http://www.restuner.com/howto-insert-trust-info-manifest.htm

Another option is to right click on the shortcut, select Properties, and on
the Compatibility Tab select "Run As Administrator".

It must have been a corrupt exe file, as I had a copy remaining after I
uninstalled
and reinstalled. When I ran the old exe I got the errors, but when I ran the
new exe the app launched without a problem.

Hi,
Could someone please extend the number of chars QuickText tags can hold from
interface to .ini file?
It seems to cap at 511.

Editing quicktext.ini to add more chars works fine, it's when using the
interface
to edit/add a tag that it cuts off anything over 511 chars.

thanks.
