[notepad-plus - Plugin Development] Intercepting "unusual" keystrokes (SourceForge.net) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Message: 1 Date: Tue, 01 Jan 2008 13:56:09 -0800 From: "SourceForge.net" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [Notepad-plus-plus] [notepad-plus - Open Discussion] Scrollbar too much to the left To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4697323 By: nissesthlm The scrollbar isn't properly aligned to the right of the window due to the border that frames the document. In Windows, the right scrollbar should be as far to the right as possible in maximized applications due to "Fitt's Law". In the vast majority of Windows applications, this is the case. Thus, by simply moving the mouse pointer to the right edge of the window you know that you can click the mouse button and scroll down/up without aiming for the scrollbar area. If you try this in N++ nothing happens, and if you do it twice (which you would do if you want to scroll down a couple of hundred lines) you'll create a new blank page. And that, I must say, breaks the "Principle of least astonishment". Is it possible to put the scrollbar in N++ in the same place as in most other Windows apps? Thanks for a great product btw. Tr?s bon! :) ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. If I could find an easy to follow set of tutorials for writing plugins for notepad++ in Delphi, I would write the plugin myself. I found a Delphi template and a Free Pascal template but I am still lost. I would like output in a variety of formats similar to what Color Cop does. I am aware that Windows has a color dialog but I also believe in building a better mouse trap. Efg' reference library ( http://www.efg2.com/Lab/Library/Delphi/Graphics/Color.htm ) has some good ideas for a better color picking interface. The methods of a class cannot be parsed out correctly. Only the INCLUDE is parsed out:( really bad!!! ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. It is hanging up. The last file logged in the window is extracting stylers.model.xml at 100%. If I open Task Manager and end the file "xxxxx.tmp" (random name) about 4 times (end the first file, another pops up), the installer will continue and finish. I've had this problem on another system with an older version (4.5 maybe?) Is there anything I can do to try and find out what is exactly locking up? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Anyway is there a mechanism already in place for doing this or can it be added? I'm able to capture some keystrokes by setting up unusual shortcuts to menu items. ESC and regular keys (like "F") work this way. But not RCTRL etc. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
