When the window isn't maximized or when a window is docked on the right side,
the scrollbar should move to the left according to the page boundaries.

After I made the initial post I did the research I should have done prior to
posting. I looked at some applications and I was partially wrong here.
Generally,
the scrollbar doesn't comply to Fitt's law, at least not in Windows XP. However,
some apps do so, e.g. Firefox. Personally I think it's great, but I also think
consistency is great, so either/or I believe...

Still, I think that it is annoying that a new file is created when double
clicking
at the border to the right of the scrollbar. And I think the border is too thick
for a Windows app, aesthetically and consistencywise. It would be great if there
was an option somwehere to set the border width!

I just uploaded a fix for FTP_synchronize which comes with the current build
of Notepad++ 4.7. A bug caused the plugin to leak icons which in turn can give
mayor problems with any GUI in windows (esp. 9x). Please download 0.9.5.1 if
you still use 0.9.5.0, it can be found at the following location:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=189927&package_id=245189
A quick test showed no more leaks, but the problem usually occurred after
multiple
hours of usage so if anyone still has trouble please post :)

Note that the problem occurred when explorer icons were used instead of the
built-in ugly icons.

-Harry

About the 8th bug fix. I update N++ from 4.6 to 4.7, but if I anable the
auto-update,
then the error messages reported here
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1838004&group_id=95717&;
atid=612382 (and here
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1837414&group_id=95717&;
atid=612382) still comes out when I launch the application... :)

Thanks for the update. We really appreciate all the hard work that has gone
into this editor.

I think I've found a serious bug related to sessions. This only happens when
you use the "Clone to another View". Here are the steps to recreate the
problem:

1.  Open any 3 files.
2. Use "Clone to another View" on the last file opened (rightmost tab).
3.  Restart Notepad++.

Notice that the file in the 2nd view is not correct one. It also appears that
the font styles are altered for any files in the 2nd view. By altered I mean
they look different from the fonts used in the same file of the main view.

Btw, I'm using the zip build not the installer (dunno if that makes a difference
or not).

2nd question first:
Grab Function List Plugin v1.2 final (not the v2 alpha) from
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=189927&package_id=223668
This is working for me.

1st question:
Whilst I don't have any problem with the included plugins changing, I don't
know why upgrading from 4.6 to 4.7 should make a previously installed plugin
disappear.

Files won't open. Opening the file causes the titlebar to change to the name
of the file, but the file contents don't appear. Also, as soon as you close
it, it crashes out.

I'm rather surprised that this is the "solution" being given. It works, but
why doesn't notepad++ take wildcards? That's been around probably since DOS
2.x and that was over 20 years ago. If I remember right, I had wildcard access
under Unix back in the mid 80's.

I'm giving my vote to this as a feature that would be highly requested to make
NP++ even better. Right now I don't use it because of this lack - it's a swell
editor, but I didn't realize how often I used it until I didn't have it.

That is a serious bug.
I deleted the v4.7 release from sourceforge.
This regression will be fixed, the next release will come soon.
