So, something is wrong with Notepad++ somehow. Also, I'm a little worried that the replacing Notepad procedure didn't exactly work correctly. Is it possible that, in a matter unrelated to the problem at hand, Notepad might become messed up somehow because it was replaced in C drive? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. See also the v4.9 release notes. " I haven't tried that version yet. What do you mean by "Extended search type"? Is that what I've been calling the "advanced search" (control+R)? Or is it a new mode of the "simple search" (control+H)? And do you mean that it can be entered into the search string, or the replace string, or both? Note the comment that was added to section 2.2 of that FAQ. Is that what you're referring to? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Here is what I start with ; paxton etc. pinite etc. etc. taipei tiepin atone axone epona inapt inept ionia oaten panto patio paton Is there any way I can get.... pinite etc taipei etc etc. tiepin inapt inept ionia In other words, find the lines without "i", replace them with nothing, and delete the empty line ? Leaving behind the list of words/lines containing "i" without spaces ? Can this be done in Notepad Plus Plus ? If so then could someone give me the steps/syntax please ? I think i would be better if the dialog got the focus back after building the result list 2) When I install a new version the installer knows where I previously installed Np++ but it doesn't remember that I unchecked "Auto Updater" and checked "Don't use AppData" 3) In the "File" menu there's that list with previously opened files. In all programs I know this list displays the last used file on top. Only Np++ displays it at the bottom. Could that be changed? Or made configurable, at least? 4) Any chance for a toolbar button for "Save as..."? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. How can I make Notepad++ display them with a special Style per default? Right now they are recognized as text files and I can select e.g. "Properties" from the "Languages" menu. That works fine, but is there a way to assign special filenames to Languages so that I don't have to do that manually each time? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Sometimes I have to switch between two file tabs often, and its really bad to move the horizontal scrollbar everytime and find the right position again. Is it possible to get this bug fixed (or feature back, what ever ;))? sincerely Stefan1200 ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. When I open stylers.xml some things are self-explanatory but others are not. For example: in the <WordsStyle> tag there are attributes "name" and "styleID". Is there a list of available names to use? Can I create my own names? How can I tell NP++ to recognize a special string (eg. "getthis:") and format it in a special way? And what is the purpose of the styleID? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Is there a way, maybe with some help, to have a better support for the translator? I mean, maybe an english.xml always updated, or something help find the new string and string id? Well, something like this http://translate.maxthon.cz/ would be wonderful, but i know this would take so much time to do! Bye ;) ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
