Is there another way to get the filename, or a different message i should look for? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Also, you may want to adjust accelerator keys my moving/inserting & character before the desired key (in my Italian translation, 2 items have "a" selected as accelerator, didn't check for others). Great job, Don. And thank you for advice before deletion of "HexEditor.dll". Do you think we'll have it back some day? I use it and works perfectly, just wonder if making it fully compatible with current version is too much of an effort... ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Feel free to cross-link the other one to this if you think it's a good idea. I didn't at the time, though I agree you have a good point. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. That's the entire point of automatic update, so I *don't* have to do that. Yes, I'm aware that I can, and that's how I have been doing it for the several years I've been using and loving NPP. But last time I got tired of it, and since that feature is supposed to be there now, I thought I'd use it. I'm perfectly happy to have to go manually trigger it; I'm not a big fan of my computer doing stuff I don't know about. But it still says "no update available..." ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I now see current = 4.9.2, so maybe Don knew something we didn't know... :-) I appreciate the effort that goes into new releases and preventing regressions. I was just wondering about time-frames. I guess I will reset and wait for 4.9.2 to "age" for a bit. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. It might be because of a firewall issue at my work but I just wanted to check first. If it is a firewall issue would Notepad++ tell you that it couldn't connect to the update server or something?? Thanks for the great tool. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Exactly. It's pretty handy to just copy stuff from eg. a web page, and paste it into a new, blank page in NotePad, without having to bother saving the page as a file. UltraEdit can recover such pages, but I use NotePad as well because UltraEdit's editor isn't as good as Scintilla. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. It would be cool if I could attach a shortcut to the script, but as far as I know, the current NppExec version doesn't support this. I'll continue using the "Execution" menu now, but I'll survey future NppExec versions ;) Thx ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
