VBscript language is popular, for example, in html page. many text editors's
macro can be made by using VBscript.

if our NP++'s macro can support vbscript this NP++ will become more power.

How to set up the font used for printing?

I usually use a monospaced font in display - but printing a document, NPP uses
a font which isn't monospaced ....

TIA

I am experiencing a peculiar problem with Notepad++ 4.9.2 (don't know if it
happened with previous versions) and I couldn't find a previous mention of it
here.

Whenever I disable the "File status auto-detection" feature in the settings
window, the feature is disabled - but only until I restart Notepad++. As far
as I can tell, the setting does not get saved, and if I manually edit the
config.xml
then the setting is still ignored.

Does the same happen to anyone else or is there something odd going on with
my computer?

I am having this problem on v4.9.2. The line number margin is not wide enough
for 4-digit (or greater) line numbers unless I toggle the margin off and back
on again. The images posted by the OP reflect the behaviour I am experiencing.

Is this a known problem?

It's rather a DocMonitor plugin bug.
Remove docMonitor.dll from the "plugin" directory will remedy this problem.
I'll see what can I do for it.

Hi, I'd like to ask for a feature that is in some other editors, to set caret
width, because current thin line is not readable very well. It's a bit difficult
to localize caret on screen.

Setting a caret width option in pixels would solve this problem.
A nice touch would be to include different caret shapes, underline is one,
current
caret another, half block another and full block another. But caret width option
alone would suffice for most disabled users.

Another feature that would be helpful is an option to display filename only
in the window title (not the whole path).

Thank you anyway for a wonderful editor.

Is there any way to change *.as files to always use ActionScript language? The
file extension is set for both Haskell and ActionScript and it is quite an
annoyance
to have to manually set it to ActionScript everytime I open an ActionScript
file, as it defaults to Haskell language. I tried disabling the Haskell language
in settings, but it just opens *.as files with (Haskell formatting still?) no
language selected.

Hi,

In one of my "INSERT INTO", I have the following record (genereted by MySQL
by exporting database) :
('CI','C?te d\'Ivoire')

Because of \' all the rest of the file doesn't highlight correctly, it's pretty
annoying.

Thank you.

I love Notepad++ and I thank all who have contributed to it.

The Firefox-style incremental search is great but I have one small request:
please can we have the option of searching from the current cursor position
(in addition to the current top-of-file functionality)?

Thanks!

Perhaps you can find something useful in the thread called "File Association
settings are not saved" started by jfnieto on 2008-05-28 12:54.
