I'm mainly a Linux user, but I'm forced into Windows at work. I'm using
Notepad++
as a replacement for Kate, and so far it's doing a pretty good job. but I'm
wondering if there's a way to change the word wrap behavior. In Kate, when
a line wraps, it keeps the same indent profile. Can I make Notepad++ do that
too?

DV, the rebar in Notepad++ has basic functionality to add custom controls by
plugins. Its not enabled because its completely untested and probably unstable,
so we need someone who has a good use for it and willing to help develop/test
:).

It would be very good, to be able to select different part of the document with
different languages.
I found, my self working with a bash script and sql query on it, but the
hightlight
didn?t work for the sql part.

I have been a very very happy user of Notepad++ for over a year now and love
the program. However I just created a development user on my computer to
separate
all my business and personal things, and now Notepad++ is completing my brackets
every time I type the opening bracket out on the new profile. I can see how
someone might like it, but I find it frustrating.
I've been looking through all the menu's and can't see where to disable it.
Can you help?

The hide lines behaviour is fixed by Harry. It'll come with v5.0.
The user extension should override the default one. I'll take a look in code
for that.
TextFX is done by Chris, it seems that the plugin is not maintained anymore
by him.
I'll consider to remember the transparency, but I promise you nothing.

Well, sounds interesting though I'm not sure how could I use it :) I mean even
if NppExec will have its combo-box on Notepad++'s toolbar, it will not allow
to assign shortcut-keys to different scripts as it can be done with menu items.
Or it will be possible?

is anyone else having problems closing/exiting notepad++?
when I try to close notepad++ it seems to hang for a few minutes before it
actually
shuts down. sometimes i have to click on the taskbar button for notepad++ before
the window closes. This did not happen until I upgraded to the latest version
and I figured I'd ask before I down revved. has anything changed to cause this?

Let me return to this topic, Don. I followed your advice and created a number
of predefined dummy menu entries. When the ini-file is loaded, I assign the
appropriate text with ModifyMenu and enable the used items. All unused entries
have the default "not used" text.
A user of my plugin reported another problem with this approach (
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1959856&forum_id=482781 ).
The problem is that the Shortcut Mapper shows the "not used" as the menu text
for all items, and not the current string assigned after initialization.

I still want you to call setInfo before all the other. If you do that, I'll
just move my initialization into setInfo, and the problem will be solved.
