Agreed, I see this in an .xul file I have for a Firefox extension, I'd not
tracked
down why highlighting went missing, but now you've pointed it out it's obvious.
i have a <script /> tag, the next xml tag is shown correctly, but all others
show unhighlighted. If I change the script tag to <script></script> rather than
<script /> highlighting works fine.

Hello,

I the release notes of npp 5.0 it is said:
"Calltip is available for all the supported languages - you just need to add
them(the php.xml is complete)."

Where can I found these xml files ? Where should I put them to get
autoc-completion
for the supported languages.

Regards,

mathmax

Neither for me the history work. Historry are simply not saved...
Or better, it works in this way:
1. you open a file, then close it. The file is in the history.
2. you open a file, then close N++. The file is not saved in the history.

And, 2 other bug maybe are already reported:
in preferences -> MISC -> History Files Settings: the don't check at launch
time is always checked on startup, either if you uncheck it on previous work
session. Same thing for the attributes highlightings checkbox! :)

This doesn't seem to work for me.

I copy some text to the clipboard.
I select all lines.
I hide all lines without the clipboard text.
Lines are hidden OK.

I switch to another document and return.
All lines are shown again.

Do I do something wrong or is it still Notepad++?

Hi all,

The version 2.3 of XML Tools plugin has been released and is available in
download
page.

Here is what's new:

- Load libXML DLL dynamically; the plugin menu shows a "How to use..." when
DLL is not available.
- Fix errors and improve "Linarize XML" function: the function now supports
both LF and CRLF line ends
- Fix indentation error in "Pretty Print" function when having '>' char in node
attribute
- Fix the check marks problem in XML Tools plugin menu

The auto-installer (EXE file) is no longer available. You must install external
libraries (libXML, libXSLT, etc.) manually. These are available here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=189927&package_id=264094&r
elease_id=607029

It works fine for me.
Make sure it's v5 that you launch.

I'm probably the one that broke it (no guarantees) and ill see if I can fix
it for the next release, however, no guarantees (I even hope to be able to build
notepad++ with winelib).

Not really a bug but rather a limitation, Scintilla has only a small subset
of what people consider standard regex patterns.

The textfx regex engine (Ctrl-R) seems to be a bit more complete, but does still
miss a few things.

I love Notepad++ and have just installed v5, I am not sure whether it is me,
but the 'last operation directory' option which I use all the time appears to
be working differently. Previously, if I clicked 'open' from an already open
file it used to give me the folder where that file was located, now it gives
me a browse dialog based on my last operation, is this meant to be the case.

It's a little annoying because I might save a new file in one place and then
go back to click on another file that is already open and want to open other
files in the same folder as it, however I would need to navigate to that folder
from the location I had just save in, rather than immediately seeing the folder
that the file is open in.

I really like the new features, especially "right click + rename" i've used
it loads already.
