The only thing that's wrong is that you are still to save the file you just deleted. The alternative would be to not have the keep-question appear while the file dialog is open. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. FTP_synchronize might need to replace illegal characters with something else when creating temp directories in windows. and another small thing, just a little bit more intuitive, when the folder is empty the plus(expand) icon shouldnt be displayed. Thanks for the good job on this plugin :) ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I routinely have 50 to 100 files open in Notepad++ at any one time and have found with the last couple of upgrades (from Ver 4.9-5.XX)I have been unable to Search (Find) a text string within all the open files. When I execute the command Notepad++ disappears, no windows error etc. I am using Win XP Pro,Service Pack 3 and AVG 8 as my Antivirus. Has anyone encountered the problem before? Really is a good product, and the "Find in Files" command is a great time saver. Many thanks JW ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Using the Plugins/TextFX Viz/Show Lines with (Clipboard) Text" does nothing - absolutely NOTHING to the file for me. It says "I'm not going to hide all the lines! Copy something into the clipboard that can be found!" Well, I DID tell it to "FIND" lines starting with two variables, marking the lines with each search... So now I have a text file with some 29,000 lines of text with about 500 marked lines; and all I need and want are those scattered 500 lines that are so simply marked but impossibly hard to get displayed alone without the junk around them. If someone has some better way to do this PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me out. I've scoured these forums, the FAQ's on the website, and even a dozen or so pages I've found through Google searches and nothing's helped me at all... I really don't want to spend hours scanning through (and deleting) 99% of nearly 29,000 (literally) lines of junk text for the 500 or so lines I need. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I found something out - inspired by someone else's post (on a similar subject) - sorry I forgot who it was or I'd credit the person... Anyhow, do a "Replace" search using the regular expressions to mark the lines you want to keep and the replace with section I did the following "**\1" (the " " are just to show my text, don't use those) and had it add a pair of *'s to the front of the line. Then I highlighted and copied the pair, then Plugins-->TextFX Viz-->Show lines with (Clipboard) Text. Once you've done that. CTRL+A to select everything, then Plugins-->TextFX Viz-->Copy Visible Selection (so it doesn't copy what was just hidden too (like CTRL+C will do)), then open/create a new document and CTRL+V the lines you want into it - and then you can easily remove the ** with a replace all (and searching for just that pair of *'s) by leaving the replace field empty. That solved my HUGE text file problem (thankfully). Not an elegant or overly simple way, but very effective none-the-less! ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Does anybody now is there in Notepad++ such option as "Default encoding for opening files"? It's like if You are opening UTF-8 without BOM file which doesn't contain any special chars then now by default it opens in ASCI, but with that type of option files will always be opened in UTF-8 without BOM and therefore no more need to manually change encoding every time You open the file! Hope there is such thing? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Like JEdit, DreamWeaver and Eclipse. I think the best option is: - Search and Replace in all not open files - Search and Replace in the opened source of the open files So that means it would act like the normal search/replace in open files with the addition to change the files 'invisibly' in all not opened files. As said by others, it's a drag to use other programs to achieve this. I currently use JEdit to replace in files. Because it is fast and simple (with good regex support) and - unlike Dreamweaver - it works in all file types (that match filter) and not only n files recognized by program. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. What I would like to do is to create a text file, this would be a fil with keywords and I would like these keywords to be searched in the opened file. Diffrent keywords could possibly have different colours. Can someone please help?
