CChris, these rules are inside "insertExt.ini" in your Notepad++ folder. As
I remember, it was default behaviour of FunctionList 1.2.

It would help the developers to know what version you are using (version number,
and whether it is Ansi or Unicode), what operating system you are using, and
what plugins you have installed. I suspect it might be due to a faulty plugin:
try removing one at a time and test if it still crashes.

Open unchanged NP++ v5.1.4 "change.log" file and try this:
1. Cursor on the top left position (word "Notepad++").
2. Open search/replace dialog (smart highlighting activated). And in the "Find
what" field, it was automatically put currently selected word "Notepad".
2. Now you need to replace all words "Add" in text with word "333". Remove word
"Notepad" and enter "Add" into the "Find what" field and "333" into the "Replace
with" field, then use "Replace All" button.
After that I get first occurrence replaced with word "Not" and the rest replaced
with "333". Is it only for me?

to search the forum you go to the top frame of this page. thats the orange area
where it says summary, hosted apps, tracker, forums, download, more. scroll
over forums. a list of pop out. at the end of it there's search.

Seems there is a new strange problem with Scintilla's window redrawing.
Sometimes,
when switching from Notepad++ to another application(s) and then, after some
time, switching back to Notepad++, Notepad++ is shown without its tollbar and
its statusbar is also absent or shown over Scintilla's window.
Also, sometimes Scintilla's window is not fully redrawn - this rarely occurs
when one big file is opened and you perform "Go to another View" (try it several
times).

Problem confirmed and reproduced on my WinXP Pro office computer (see my prev
post on Jan 16).
At home, using WinXP Home, also with 5.1.4u, the plugin works fine.
Is there any relevant data I can provide?

Times New Roman is not a monospaced font. If it is using both Courier for the
text and Times for the spaces, that would explain the different size of spaces
than expected.
I cannot see the links you provided so I cannot reply to that specifically.

I'm using the most recent version (5.1.4) with a portableapps.com container.
According to the about page, i'm using unicode.
Plugins: Compare, Document Monitor, FTP_Syncronize, MIME Tools, NppExec,
NppExport,
NppNetNote, Spell-checker. (at least this is what was in the plugins menu)
Operating System: Windows XP SP3
Whats weird with this is that i've never seen this before. I've used N++ on
many diffrent computers with the same portable container and its never happened
this frequently.

Since I installed 5.1.4 I get crashes all the time. Very often it crashes on
"pure virtual function call".
