A line may be using plenty of fonts depending on the highlighting scheme
selected.
The spacing is normal, but the interline spacing is based on the tallest font
you might be using for this language in this theme.
I'm sure you'll find an unexpectedly tall font by reviewing your settings.
Decreasing
its size will decrease the line spacing.
I think this was asked before on this forum.

I tried these (using Ctrl+Shift+Up/Down), thinking they would let me select
to the beginning/end of the paragraph. The 2nd one works fine---but the 1st
one selects to the start of the current paragraph, _and_ the previous
paragraph.
(This is with 2 linebreaks between paragraphs.) Bug?
Also, I found that when you change these shortcuts, you must click Apply before
you click OK, or the change doesn't stay. That's irregular and counterintuitive.
(The Apply button is usually to let the user apply visual changes to see how
they look, for example, before closing the settings window.) I don't know who
handles these kinds of things in the project, but I thought I'd mention it.

If there's no critical bug found, v5.4.2 should be the last version of v5.4.x.
Hiere are v5.4.2 fixed bugs (from v5.4.1) :
1. Fix the localization switcher bug while w/o doLocalConf.xml (Menu items
translation problem).
2. Fix only one document "Move to other view" close Notepad++ instance issue.
3. Fix plugin menu boolean check box bug.

Uninstalled and Re-Installed NPP 5.4.1 Clean
Added "userDefLang.xml" to AppData directory (specifically AutoHotkey)
Open any .ahk file and NPP crashes.
I know this bug was in 5.1.2 but I thought it was fixed?
Or maybe it got reintroduced in 5.4.1?
Need help with this. Thanks.

This doesn't seem to work. Tried the Crystal++ icons set and nothing changes.
There isn't a "View | Tool Bar | Enlarge Me" menu item.

How would I go about turning off the purple and yellow highlighting of XML tags
when I select them? This happens whenever the language is XML or HTML and you
have information enclosed in <> braces such as: <html></html>. They will
highlight
purple. <body style="background:#003300;"></body> will highlight "<body" and
"</body>" in purple, and "style="background:#003300;"" in yellow.
I need these colors changed, or I need this functionality turned off. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
i am new with notepad++
i tried to compile the new version with mingw but it returned
millions of errors , i fixed some and i gave up
so i turned to MSVC 2008, everything compiled without errors
i replaced the installed notepad++.exe with my compiled one
everything seems to work fine except the toolbar
toolbar is missing , i tryed configuration -> preferences
and the toolbar hide option is not working ...
is this a bug with msvc2008 compiler ??
any help is appreciated
