If I understand correctly, this cannot be currently done in Np++, because 1) no further highlight rules are applied to comments, and 2) there is no way to define global highlight rules (it would be tedious to set such a rule separately for every language; it makes sense to make rules that apply to comments language-independent). It would be cool if Np++ would support "first word" (and possibly "any word") language-independent highlight rules for the contents of comments. (Of course, a FunctionList-style task list would make it even cooler :) ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. The only way to modify the toolbar is to restart the program. (Please, correct me if I'm wrong.) If the restart option suits you, you can rename the "Toolbar" section in WebEdit.ini, say, make it "-Toolbar", and then exit Notepad++. This will remove all the WebEdit buttons on next startup. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Issue still present in 5.4.2 (Unicode): The option "Don't use %APPDATA%" does not work properly. Platform: Vista 32. Symptoms: NP++ does not remember: - tabs (opened files); - settings changes; - does not make recently opened file entries; --> unless it is run as administrator (which is undesirable). This option used to work fine for me until 5.3.x or at least 5.2.x. The problem is solved by re-installing without using this option. Maybe it is not necessary to re-install, but enough to remove the file do.local.Config.xml from the program files/notepad++ folder? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Try to "Find all in current document" inside some UCS-2 file with any text, and you'll see that the find tokens are highlighted incorrectly (the highlighted string positions are incorrect) in the Find Results pane! ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Decreasing its size will decrease the line >spacing. Hmm, I am NOT using a highlight schema. I am using the "Feault Style" for a simple *.txt file. So there are no different font embedded/used. Only one! See this snapshot: http://www.picamatic.com/show/2009/06/01/01/30/3848376_1093x724.png So the "tallest" font as the only font used. So again: how can I decrease the line spacing? Alternatively, make a copy of the file, and try removing stuff incrementally from the original, like some keyword categories, some operators, fold keywords... Be sure to cut both in the language and stylers sections. With luck, you either * get it to work at some point; then review the last thing you removed, or post about it * or get a file that still doesn't work, but is short enough to be posted. Did you first of all try to run your file through an XML validator to see if it doesn't catch something silly? You can * enable/disable the whole thing * if enabled, selectively enable tag or content highlighting. The colors can be set in Preferences -> Styler Configurator, HTML or XML, style=TAG/TAGEND/ATTRIBUTE/TAGUNKNOWN/ATRIBUTEUNKNOWN In other words, you have total control.
