So you are telling me that it is impossible or not recommended to overwrite
existing hotkeys?
Say from other editors I am used to hit F4 for a certain macro.
So I want to use it in Notepad++ as well.
But even after your answer it does not work.
Do you have another solution?
Thomas

Hi,
I'm using Python for occasional development (mainly test scripts etc) and I
like the lightweightness of Notepad++. My problem is that my boss wants me to
do proper documentation, and Notepad++ doesn't support highlighting of
docstrings.
Is there a way of adding support myself (except defining my own user-defined
Python) or is this something you can easily add for the next version of
Notepad++?

For those of you looking for a unicode version of ScrollPastEOF, I compiled
one and it is available here:
http://files.getdropbox.com/u/957144/ScrollPastEOF_unicode.zip
You only need the .dll file. Copy it into your plugins folder and you're good
to go.

Thank you very much, devhen, for your help with this.
Just downloaded and installed ScrollPastEOF by devhen and it worked fine with
Notepad++ 5.4.2 Unicode.
I see Chinese characters in the "Plugins" menu like alexiljin was talking about,
but I can easily live with that until a new release.

The 3rd button, if pressed uploads the current file to the highlighted folder
/ last used folder.
Button Names:

#2 Download Selected File
#3 Upload current file to selected / last used folder
#4 Refresh directory
#5 Abort current process
#6 Send FTP command manually
#7 Settings
#8 Show Log / messages

With my ASP pages the sections for CSS and server-side JScript do not get Syntax
Hightlighted.
Is there a way of changing N++ so that these sections are highlighted?
Thanks

Works for me, using N++ v5.4.3u and NppExec v0.3 RC1u. Perhaps upgrading will
fix?

Perhaps you are talking about BOM. Some UTF-8 files store 0xEF, 0xBB, 0xBF
as first three bytes, to indicate the content encoding is UTF-8, while others
don't.
Try "convert to UTF-8 without BOM". I wish it helps.

The compared file needs to have the same Syntax Highlighting as the opened file,
rather than no syntax highlighting.
