But does Np++ support/have the ability to record and use code snippets? There used to be a plugin called QuickText. Has this been replaced/updated? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Reinstalling does not fix the problem. Any ideas? Also, is there a way to search this forum? The search box at the top searches all of sourceforge. It usually happens when it is minimized in the background. I am using the spell check, and explorer plugins with it. Any ideas on how to prevent this? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Does anyone know of an equivalent, available resource? If the problem persists, it is a Notepad++ issue. Otherwise, one of your plugin may be the culprit, try adding them back one after the other so as to spot where trouble starts. The thread resurfaced in may 2009 I believe. There is one XP unicode version and one Vista unicode version. You see this on trying to fold at the 1st <commandset> tagg. If only user extensions could be added for tags, like for keywords in most built-in languages... I found out worse: 1/ open some ANSI file 2/ write accented letters. I used ???. They take 2 chars in borh UCS-2 and UTF-8 encoding modes 3/ Change file encoding 4/ The number of characters selected, when selecting those three characters, is 6, not 3. It doesn't matter whether the selection is stream or rectangular. Notepad++ should not trust Scintilla's getSelectedByteNumber() except for ANSI encoded files or UCS2 files (in the latter case, needs to divide by 2), and perform an adequate calculation depending on the encoding of the file. This will imply counting code points in UTF-8 <shudder/>.
