Ever since the first 5.4 release I've been having tonnes of problems.
The program, will hang and then crash seemingly for no reason, and sometimes
while searching I get the error:
"SetWindowsHookEx(MOUSE) Failed. GetLastError() returned 1428"

Some suggestion to future version of File Switcher:
1) Can the searching of files be multi-words? Just like the address bar of
Firefox
3, use space to seperate words for search.
That is: when entering "class user", the list will show all the files having
the words "class" and "user", such as "user1.class.php", "ClassToTest.txt",
"ClassOfUser.cpp" will be matched.
2) I remember that you said you will make File Switcher dockable, If it's real:
a) I hope the docked switcher will have a drop down menu for changing
the sort order. Since, if you dock the switcher to left/right side, you will
need to scroll for a far distance for clicking the header of some columns.
b) Can you add a mode that is sort by directory tree? If its enabled,
It will look like this:
C:\dir_a
- a.php
- b.php
C:\dir_b
- a.php
- b.php

I want to find all first items and replace with the seconds.
Is there a short way?

I use version 5.3.1, and the file
http://www.faser.net/mab/chrome/content/mab.xul
(5 kb) does not get syntax highlighted properly. From line 72 onwards, text
is plain black.
Do not have time at the moment to check it with newest version.

If you bind anything to a key combination that already exists, the binding is
rejected. You must first remap Go to next found result to some other key combo
(None is an option), and then you can bind F4 to something.
Now, this Goto next found result command is a litle special. If you are using
any localisation file, you won't see the name in Shortcut mapper, just the "F4"
in the right column. If you don't use a localisation (delete nativeLang.xml
to do that), you'll recover the name.

I've posted it to IdeaTorrent. It currently sits in the sandbox. Could be
upgraded
to the popular ideas at some point in the future.
I haven't looked at the code for that, but I suspect it would be doable.
However,
unless someone is ready to jump in, I'd be surprised if it makes it to 5.5.

Not really, but this could be a good Translation plugin starting point. Post
this on Plugin Deveklopment forum, I hope someone will pick the idea up.
And if you know C++ a little, perhaps it could be you :-). Creating a plugin
that is not a lexer isn't too difficult. And C++ is only an option, as long
as you can interface with C.

Post this one on IdeaTorrent. Perhaps the Window manager could optionally show
all documents opened since startup, and "activating" the document would reopen
the file instead.

Works for me with 5.4.3unnicode and even with russian localisation. Do you get
a dialog box asking you to keep file in editor? You should if file change
detection
is activated on the MISC tab of Preferences.

About the multiple crashes:
Did you search this and the Help forum for "SetWindowsHookEx(MOUSE) Failed"?
I remmeber this error being reported as wel as the 1428 error code.
