While this could be an improvement, did you try the "Vertical" option for the
tab bar? More tabs would fit. Or "Multiline".

I export to pdf using NppExport. Printing to a pdf pinter is another option,
depending on how good your pdf printer is.

The "Vertical" option would be good if it stacked the tabs. But since the tabs
are longways going up the side, there's actually less room than across the top.
I'll give multiline a try.

I still think having the "Windows" window open and ready would be a great
feature.
Is this the right forum for that suggestion?

Thanks :)

Also you can create such simple NppExec's script:

NPP_OPEN $(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)

then create a menu item for it and assign a shortcut key to this menu item.

Chris,

Thanks for your effort and quick response. Notepad++ keeps getting better --
thanks to you!

Folding works if I am editing a c source file.

Folding does not work properly if I am editing a Python source file.

Save the sample file as: python_sample.py
Here is a sample Python source file for you to try:

#!/usr/bin/python
# Python sample file to test code folding.

# To run, type:
# python python_sample.py

# If you run this program you should see:
#
# loading...
# Starting...
# This function does nothing.
# This method of the object does nothing.
# I am not five.
# finished.
# finished.
#

# Define a function
def func1():
        print "This function does nothing."

# Define a class
class class1(object):
        # Class comment
        def __init__(self):
                # method comment. Here we initialize the object.
                self.var1 = 10

        def method1(self):
                print "This method of the object does nothing."

                if self.var1 == 5:
                        print "I am five."
                else:
                        print "I am not five."

def main():
        print "Starting..."
        func1()
        obj1 = class1()
        obj1.method1()
        print "finished."

print "loading..."
main()
print "finished."

Form posting has conveniently stripped all leading spaces from my post.
The indenting on python_sample.py is as follows:

#!/usr/bin/python
# Python sample file to test code folding.

# To run, type:
# python python_sample.py

# If you run this program you should see:
#
# loading...
# Starting...
# This function does nothing.
# This method of the object does nothing.
# I am not five.
# finished.
# finished.
#

# Define a function
def func1():
    print "This function does nothing." # indent 1

# Define a class
class class1(object):
    # Class comment # indent 1
    def __init__(self): # indent 1
        # method comment. Here we initialize the object. # indent 2
        self.var1 = 10 # indent 2

    def method1(self): # indent 1
        print "This method of the object does nothing." # indent 2
         # indent 2
        if self.var1 == 5: # indent 2
            print "I am five." # indent 3
        else: # indent 2
            print "I am not five." # indent 3

def main():
    print "Starting..." # indent 1
    func1() # indent 1
    obj1 = class1() # indent 1
    obj1.method1() # indent 1
    print "finished." # indent 1

print "loading..."
main()
print "finished."

Hi,

Would it be possible to give me an exmaple SQL file ?

I never used SQL, and the only SQL example file I have found seem to not be
correctly colored.

Regards

I'd +1 it.

I suggest you search for File Switcher threads and if something like this has
already been suggested for that Plugin's dialog.
