While this could be an improvement, did you try the "Vertical" option for the
tab bar? More tabs would fit. Or "Multiline".

I export to pdf using NppExport. Printing to a pdf pinter is another option,
depending on how good your pdf printer is.

The "Vertical" option would be good if it stacked the tabs. But since the tabs
are longways going up the side, there's actually less room than across the top.
I'll give multiline a try.
I still think having the "Windows" window open and ready would be a great
feature.
Is this the right forum for that suggestion?

Also you can create such simple NppExec's script:
NPP_OPEN $(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)
then create a menu item for it and assign a shortcut key to this menu item.

Folding does not work properly if I am editing a Python source file.
