Fabio;

Could you please try with the latest verion of N++ as well as with the latest
Compare plugin. This issue was known to happen with the older version of
Compare
but should have been fixed.

Thanks

I am using the UDL dialog, if that's what you're talking about.
Sorry if I mis-stated what I was doing.

Would your suggestion highlight the "ABC123:" on the line on its own?

Also, it's more than just the Jump/ command, there's also "Do/ABC123:,<random
text here>", "If/<random text here>,ABC123:, ABC124:, ABC125:" and other
constructs.

Thanks for the reply...Ken

Can this change be done in Document Switcher ? Hopefully it's not difficult.

Just paste the following into a file and save it as a SQL file and then make
a change to any line and then do a Compare to last save.

select * from sysobjects
go

print '-------'

select * from syscolumns
go

Hi,

Is there a new Quick Text version for Unicode NP++?

I find the Quick Text plugin is really useful even though the version is very
old (at least 2 years ago). My colleagues always wonder why I can type codes
so fast. The secret is Quick Text. That's why I'm still using NP++ v 5.0.3 ANSI
(right now the newest is over V 5.4 UNICODE).

I hode we can have new Quick Text plugin version that can be used in NP++
unicode.

thanks,

I cannot find anywhere a solution to an apparently simple problem...
I want to edit an ASCII subtitle file so that all the timings are deleted and
only the text is kept, so I'd like to go from this:

1
00:00:00,904 --> 00:00:06,025
You woke up
this morning

2
00:00:06,035 --> 00:00:08,465
Got yourself a gun

3
00:00:08,500 --> 00:00:13,600
Your momma always said
you'd be the Chosen One

4
00:00:13,700 --> 00:00:16,000
She said you're...
you're one in a million

5
00:00:16,100 --> 00:00:18,300
You've got
to burn to shine

6
00:00:18,400 --> 00:00:21,300

to this:

You woke up
this morning

Got yourself a gun

Your momma always said
you'd be the Chosen One

etc. I have tried several RegEx combinations but I still cannot do it. I have
tried to find and replace (with nothing) the following

\n[0-9]+\n[0-9][0-9].*--.*[0-9][0-9]

(the above works perfectly in NoteTab RegEx Find&Replace, but not in my
NotePad++)

and also
[0-9]+\r\n[0-9][0-9].*--.*[0-9][0-9]
[0-9]+\n[0-9][0-9].*\-\-.*[0-9][0-9]
[0-9]+\n[0-9][0-9].*--.*[0-9][0-9]
[0-9]+\l[0-9][0-9].*--.*[0-9][0-9]
[0-9]+\r[0-9][0-9].*--.*[0-9][0-9]
[0-9]+[\r\n][0-9][0-9].*--.*[0-9][0-9]
[0-9]+[\r][0-9][0-9].*--.*[0-9][0-9]
[0-9]+[\n][0-9][0-9].*--.*[0-9][0-9]
[0-9]+[\l][0-9][0-9].*--.*[0-9][0-9]
[0-9]+\cM\cJ[0-9][0-9].*--.*[0-9][0-9]

I have a feeling the problem is the Carriage Return, which I understood should
be \r\n, but it doesn't work... Can anyone help me?

Thank you, Gabriele

'till now I've worked with ConText. What I'm missing with Notepad++ is the kind
of column mode support as found in ConText. When you switch to column mode you
can paste columns even when the clipboard contents was copied from a different
application. When you select in column mode you can select content even when
some lines are shorter. With Notepad++ marking stops at the end of the shortes
line of the block. It would be nice to have this enhancements.

It looks like you didn't search the forums.

You'll find all required info by searching for "quicktext unicode" in either
Help or Open Discussion forum. Looking back 1 year is enough.

And yes, qucktext is useful, and and has 2 uncode versions (XP and Vista).

CChris

Jump/ and Do/ will work if there is no intervening space. For If/<text>/ABC123,
it won't - or it will highlight the whole thing tilll the forst space.

ABC123: on a line by itself will not get highlighted.

CChris

Hi Thell, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I am already using the latest
versions of both N++ and the Compare plugin: N++ is 5.4.3 Unicode, Compare
plugin
is version 1.5.3. I can reproduce it very easily; if it can help I can attach
screenshots.
