Using v5.4.3 ANSI (because I couldn't get Unicode Function List 2.0 to work
on ASP files, but that's another issue!):
Went into Settings/Preferences/Global, and selected "Big Icons" -- the toolbar
became blank. "Small icons" are all there, as are "small standard icons".
Any ideas from anyone?

I don't know what are you guys doing ...
The latest working version is 5.3.1.
Syntax highlighting problem exists in all 5.4 versions (5.4.1, 5.4.2, 5.4.3).

Well, under Windows 7 and Vista, advanced services are enabled by default, and
there's actually no way to disable them. Thanks for the idea though!

Regarding the TAB stuff.. I'm on my way. Never really got into C types,
so it still might take a while (damn string/char types lol) :\

How come no aswer? At least, if no one knows hos to prevent this error, tell
me how to set up the newest version. Maybe I won't get the same error, but like
I was saying previously, the line are not slipt. I have to shroll horizontally
to see long lines, and I can't work like this. How to make it split lines? I
do not see any setting about this...
Or, tell me another professional program like Notepad++ that will split lines.
I think no one can work with huge lines not splitted... I can't understand why
the program is not well made.

Hi!
Notepad++ won't save my custom settings. After changing a setting then exiting
notepad++, an error sound is played.
Procedure:
1. Load notepad++.
2. Change a setting.
3. Close notepad++.
What should happen:
notepad++ should save my settings, and exit cleanly.
What actually happens:
notepad++ doesn't save my settings. It exits with an error sound.
Additional Info:
If I load notepad++ and then exit immediately without doing anything, notepad++
exits without playing the error sound.
I have notepad++ save the settings to my personal \application data\ directory.
My system is configured so that "Documents and Settings" defaults to
"E:\Documents
and Settings", and "Program Files" defaults to "D:\Program Files".
Notepad++ has worked flawlessly in the config department in the past.
The problem started occurring after I upgraded from the v4.x.x series. I had
missed some of the updates, so I don't know which version started exhibiting
the problem.
Any help is appreciated.

I found that block comments are not being highlighted when the third character
is an asterisk, e.g.

A few small requests, all concerning Notepad++'s Replace function:
1. It's nice to be able to see the results of each Replace operation?but how
about making it optional? E.g., you could add a "Show results" checkbox to the
Replace window, which would be selected by default.
2. When the "Find what" string isn't found, instead of saying "0 occurrences
were replaced" (which always makes my head spin for a second), how about the
more direct and intuitive "Text not found" ?
3. I know I can close the Replace window by pressing Esc. But 99% of the time,
I use it to replace just one kind of string, then I'm done?so it'd be nice
to have an option to close the window automatically after a successful Replace
operation. How about adding checkbox like this?: "Close this window when Replace
is done"
