Does cutting the text from the whole document and pasting it in a new document
perform conversion on the fly??

There is such a plugin. Google for UniversalIndentGUI, or visit
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/notepad-plus/index.php?title=Plugin_Central.
It wraps a few code formatters, among which AStyle.

The cursor changes shape when over the selection. This could be a clue so as
to move a little.

I have tested and found that the caret doesn't change line, but snaps to the
end of the line it is on. Perhaps word wrap has to do with it. This is a
Scintilla
feature and is not yet an option.

DV: thanks. I've managed to get my process ( a compilation) to work. I am using
a .PRJ (make) file and at the moment my 'command line' shows :

cmd /c c:\pc /t/w/c c:\workarea\progwinx\prog2win.prj

where pc is the compiler + parameters and c:\workarea\progwinx\prog2win.prj
is the full path to a project (make) file.

At the time I issue (f6) the script containing this line I will be in the
process
of editing a .C file

So I want to compile a .PRJ file not the .C file I'm editing in NP++.

The examples show the use of "r...@$(EXT_PART)" where (EXT_PART) would expect
".C". How would I express a script so that ".PRJ" was substituted for (EXT_PART)
- or is ther another way of doing it?

property.
Hi everyone,
I've started using notepad++ few minutes ago. Adding html code i open <meta
tag, add "charset" property and click ctrl_space to get a list of values for
the "charset" property. Unfortunately i get all the html tags of which i'm not
interested. I'm interested in "windows-1255" and "utf-8" but those two values
are not in the list.
There are two things i'd like to do:
1. getting only 4 possible values for the "charset" property and not all html
tags that do not fit "head" area of html page
2. add absent "utf-8" and "windows-1255" to that list.
I dont know how it is done. Can i get explanation or tutorial?
Thanks

When creating new html page i want the following rows to appear immediately
for each new file:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd";>
<html>
<head>
<title>Untitled Document</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
</head>

how can i arrange that ?
Thanks

Hi notepad++ users.
I've created (actually cloned) a new color theme inspired by Mozilla's new
project
- Bespin.
You can download it from my blog:

There is no need to edit shortcuts.xml: the macro posted by Harry simply reads:
Edit -> Trim Trailing Space
File -> Save

You can consider the macro being shipped as only a test.

There are a lot of ways to do it, just look at existing environment variables
and decide which one to use. For example, if the name of your .prj file is
always
the same as the name of your current .c file, you can use "$(NAME_PART).prj"
when specifying the file name.
You can pass the file name as a parameter, refer to NppExec_Manual: 4.3.
Run-time
parameters.
The approach you choose will depend on your current specific needs: the first
thing is to understand what exactly you want to do and the second thing is to
"tell" NppExec how it (NppExec) can do it.
