1/ What is your version of N++?
2/ What happens when you try running another command? Is the entry greyed out,
do aliens pop up, or anyrhing else?

What I want is just like the Eclipse IDE, it will resize the horizontal
scrollbar
each time after scrolling the vertical scrollbar, but Notepad++ just stop to
resize after it find the longest line in a document.
But you said "prevent computing the maximal range again if a still longer line
is shown", that means its the default behaviour of current version of Notepad++
(stop to resize after it find the longest line), right? Then, why I need this
macro?

CChris, thank you! Also, I was unable to download using Firefox. When I tried
using IE just now I had no problem. Will now give the plugin installs a try
- thanks again!

What about this plugin for unicode version?
Whether can provide this plug-in editing of files in MS-DOS OEM-866 coding?

I find it weird that some core functionality in Notepad++ is implemented and
in part duplicated via plugins.
To me find and replace is a core of what a programming editor must do, so I
totally agree with Greg's request.
In fact, I would add that the find and replace dialog should be dockable so
that you can keep it open at all times.

Do you use as Default Style a font that supports your code page? I hardly know
about cyrillic fonts so I can't recommend any. Perhaps going to www.paratype.com
will help you find something.

Do you guys think that now that there is a Unicode version of this plugin, it
could be added to the default list of official plugins again?

Agreed on IdeaTorrent (that was easy!) so I opened this idea (#33):
https://sourceforge.net/apps/ideatorrent/notepad-plus/ideatorrent/idea/33/
I did check the link you suggested (re: Project Management) and the concept
is the same, but alas, so is the current result...projects/sessions are not
very portable yet.
The binary files issue is a good workaround and I will try it to see...
Would like to look for the soft links apps you mention and will google around
(but if you have any suggestions that would be appreciated).
Thanks again for all the help (good talkin to ya!)
Regards!
Carlton

I see this same behavior on Windows 7 build 7100.
To work around it for the time being, I just leave Notepad++ open. The only
time this warning is presented is when an associated filetype is double-clicked
from explorer, and notepad++ is not already open. While not everyone will elect
this "workaround," it's acceptable to me because I have any number of documents
open in NPP at anytime already.
I'd still probably file a bug if you haven't already. Fortunately it's not a
debilitating condition; one can click through the two warning boxes and files
will open up just fine still.

Hi,
I just installed v5.4.4 over 5.4.1 and it seems that none of the plugin
shortcuts
work.
I tried using F6, which should start the NppExec "Execute..." window, but it
does not work. I am not able to use any of the shortcuts that I manually created
for my the NppExec scripts.
I also installed the Compare plugin version 1.5.4 and its shortcuts (notably,
Alt+d) do not work either.
If I manually click on the menus corresponding to these plugins they work fine.
Cheers,
Amadawn
