Hi everyone,

I hope this is the right location to post this change so it might get into the
next version. This adds support for the x86-64 register additions.

Don: could that be related to the bug I tackled with hotspots where not enough
bits where used to represent all the possible styles?

In the meantime, you can perform this addition yourself from Settings -> Styler
Configurator -> Assembly, REGISTERS. On the right part of the tab there are
two edit fields. One is read only and has default register names. One is
read/write
and you can add anything that looks like a register.

btw is there a highlighter for ARM CPUs assembly? Just curious.

CChris

CChris:
For argument sake, I agree that Word and Excel behave like that, but not so
for Notepad, as well as, I mentioned, all the versions of MS Visual Studio,
as far as I can trace back.

Though, Word and Excel aren't even close to be *test editor*. They are,
respectively,
Word editor and speadsheet apps.
All the MS text editors that can be used for programming (i.e. MS Visual Studio
and Notepad) behave like that.

joce.

I just tested Eric (http://eric-ide.python-projects.org/), an python IDE based
on Scintilla. It displays the same behaviour as SciTE: disable the saves
(graphically
as well as functionally) if a file is unchanged.

Maybe, that's the way N++ should go? It wouldn't modify the current behaviour,
but would state more clearly what happens when you try to save an unmodified
file (i.e. nothing).

joce.

Again, tested another Scintilla-based editor: Komodo Edit. It has the same
behaviour
as all the other Scintilla-based editors I've tried: Save is visually disabled
in both menus and tool bar for an unmodified file.

Given that, I feel that N++ should most probably follow that route, as it seems
to be a constant for everything Scintilla.

My $0.02

joce.

Just wondering, in: Setttings -> Styler Configurator -> Global styles, Selected
text colour, why is "colour" spelled wrong. Shouldn't it be color?

How do you upload a program to the internet so that others can download it off
you own website?
