This issue has ben reported already.
If you launch NP++ without plugins, for instance by renaming the plugins folder,
do the crash still occur?
If it doesn't, then try ading plugins back one at a time so as to find
the culprit.
In either cases, please report again with your findings.

Post this on IdeaTorrent.
It wouldn't be this trivil for a plugin to do, because it has to check on the
fly that you typed an hex number with 6 digits, without slowing anything down.
The underlining proper is trivil indeed.

Another one for IdeaTorrent. Feel free to post it there. The apparant lack of
votes is due to SF, and we still hope they repair it. It is still possible to
vote in a persistent way though.

Notpepad++ has been my editor of choice for quite a while. It is near perfect.
However, there is one issue which is really annoying to me.
Waay to often, when trying to close a tab, I accidently hit "Close all but me"
instead of "Close me". Alas, these options are next to each other, so its very
easy to click the wrong one. When this happens I have to re-open all documents,
which I accidently closed.
I would be happy with either solution:
- Pysically seperate those two options. Move "Close all but me" a few notches
down
- Add customizability to the tabulator context menues not unlike the standard
context menus
- Add an optional security question on "Close all but me".
Thanks for listening!

Ooops, another miss-click. The title was supposed to be
- Feature request: "Protect" Close all but me
I can't seem to fix the original post, sorry.

I just added this one as
Idea #178: Protect "Close all but me" form accidental use
to the Sourceforge Idea-Torrent. Unfortunately, I can't fix the typo in the
idea title, so "from" will stay "form" for the time being.

Make that idea "48". I initially posted in the wrong idea torrent, D'oh!
Idea torrent itself seems to be kinda buggy. It took me quite a few attempts
until I could add my third solution;.

Hello.
First of all thank you very much for such a great editor.
I have a request for a feature that is common in most of the tabbed window
interface
programs and so I am used to it and I quite lack it in Notepad ++.
At this point the only way you can switch between documents using a keyboard
shortcut is Ctrl-Tab or Ctrl-Shift-Tab where the sequence of the documents is
arranged from the last active to the least.
I would be very pleased if there was a keyboard shortcut Ctrl-PageDown
and Ctrl-PageUp which would switch to the next / previous document based on
the order in which the documents were opened. In other words the Ctrl-PageDown
would activate the tab that is the first to the right of the current active
tab and Ctrl-PageUp would activate the one to the left.
Thank you very much in advance,
Matej

Sometimes, I have to replace words in many files. For example, I have opened
many .txt files in Notepad++.
Alternatively, there are hundreds of .txt files in a folder, and I can hardly
use Notepad++ to open them one by one slowly.
I have to use "euro" to replace "dollar" in all the opened files or the closed
files in a folder. How to do this work efficiently?

Matej,
If you grab the file switcher plugin, and set the shortcuts for "Switch to
Previous document" and "Switch to next document" to Ctrl-PgUp and Ctrl-PgDn,
that will have the effect you're looking for.
Note that currently it only does this based on the tab order, so if you've
reordered
the tabs after opening them, it will use the new order. This is set to change
to allow some options in a future version though.
Dave.
